    Pros +

    • Proximity to tunnel terminal
    • Really close to the tunnel and a 5min drive to Cite Europe
    • Location to Cité Europe is brilliant, breakfast is as advertised. If you like a drink walk over to the 3 star or 4 star hotel. It was fine for the money. Thank you x

    Cons -

    • Small room with a sticky floor! The heater didn't work but the staff did manage to find a cracked and stained heater. The shower head was broken and there was no rail to support it. Overall not good!
    • No one in reception to book in with at around 5/6,you do it on a machine. beds were really hard and uncomfortable. We also had dogs staying in a room above us that was in a frenzy barking/scratching around the floor which disterbed us
    • Manual booking in at the machine. Takes to long or was that just us!!

Right on the doorstep of the eurotunnel with fabulous parking and a huge police presence! Simple comfortable little rooms and walking distance to an enormous shopping centre. Inexpensive and functional.

Location for shops and le shuttle.

The corridors were very tired and dirty. Lots of cobwebs. The air conditioning did not work in the room. We were given only two small hand towels but no staff around after 9pm to address this. No hairdryer.

Nice room and perfect location for channel tunnel travellers.

The late night check-in box gives you a code for your room, but this is also the code that you type in to get through the second pair of doors at the entrance. As other people also come and go at the same time, they can see the code you type in to get through the entrance door, and therefore also knows the code to your room which doesn’t feel safe. You you be given 2 different codes; one code for the entrance door, and another code for the room.

Recommended by a friend but I had no real idea what to expect. Plenty parking spaces and lots of French border police patrolling so felt very safe. Checkin is a dump (sorry)... it's all automated at a machine and if you can't get a reception on your phone or the battery has died, then you will struggle to get the PIN needed to get into your room!However... the bed was huge, wonderfully comfortable and clean, the room was exceptionally quiet and I slept well. Bathroom facilities were basic but all I needed.

Really do not like the automated machine to check in, people can see your details over your shoulder, if your phone isn't working you can't get the email with the PIN for your room... really not good.

    Close to le shuttle

Very small room. Tiny bathroom. Difficult entry after 9.

    Very very basic. Bed comfortable.

I am shocked that Booking.com is marketing this hotel as suitable for paying guests. It has been taken over by Police and is now nothing short of a paramilitary police barracks. There were 30-40 armed police in reception, with guns on their hips. The car park is packed with police riot vans, police cars and motorbikes. They have taken over all 3 hotels on this site. It is not conducive to a pleasant stay, when you are having breakfast alongside numerous Police officers, armed to the teeth, with hand guns on their hips. Its very frightening.

For a two star hotel the rooms were fine, they were clean and comfortable, the bed was very comfortable and pillows amazing...

Its an automated check in system, and this wasn't working when we arrived, also the intercom to be used when there is any problems with check in didn't get answered either.... after trying again and a again we had not other option but to seek help at the neighboring hotel, who despite signs everywhere stating that you were not to go to the neighboring hotels, were very helpful and got someone to meet us back at reception.

Very basic stop over hotel ,a bit of a mess about with auto reception if after 21.00

Arrived at 21.30 when we eventually got into our room as the booking process is a bit messy.the room hadn't been cleaned so had to go back to the main door and talk to a member of staff via intercom which took another 30mins .but they did get another room which was fine

It was quite ok for one night, but rather far away from everything. There is some kind of shopping center close and there you can find a restaurant and bar. I came by bike which was ok, but a car is also good.

The whole experience. Friendly reception. Room clean and nice facilities. Very well situated to euroshuttle.

A few rats outside early morning near the bins at the side.

Good location for tunnel. Beds comfortable. Adequate for overnight stop

    Breakfast ok

    8DavidPosted on: 4-29-2025

Convenient for shuttleComfortable bedGood showerGood value for a low cost hotel! Will use again.

Some noise due to fact we had a ground floor room near reception- normally preferable but I think we were just unlucky in that contractors were undertaking work overnight.

Price breakfast staff bed toilet not in shower

Shower door noise but someone took note

Check in machine a bit of a nightmare

Bed was fine and cleanliness OK. Breakfast was also fine

We had booked an accessible room. We were delayed on our journey from Paris, and got to Calais around 8.30 in the evening. We entered the hotel's address in the satnav, and were totally unable to find it. We tried more than once to phone the number given on our booking, but got the 'unavailable' message. We eventually (after more than half an hour of driving around looking in vain) found signs to the Cite area, but at first there was no sign of any hotel, and no signage. We finally spotted a hotel with the B&B sign, but discovered that this was not the right one. we spoke to reception there, and the correct hotel was pointed out to us, and we were told that reception was probably closed, and we would have to enter our booking number on a keypad at the entrance. We parked our car in a disabled space by the entrance, and attempted to enter the booking number, more than once, but nothing happened. There was no notice saying what to do in this eventuality. We had to return to the original hotel, and they phoned ours to arrange for someone to let us in. So we eventually managed to enter at getting on for 10-o-clock. The room was definitely not an accessible one, with a tiny cramped shower, and a wc with an incredibly loud flush. Entry to the room was by entering a six digit code on a keypad, which was hardly convenient. We discovered that there are actually THREE B&B Hotels, all backing on to a large and soul-less car park, which seems to be a recipe for confusion from the start, even if the location was straightforward to find. Our stay in this hotel was hardly a relaxing prelude to an early morning start on the Shuttle next morning, and a long drive home to South Wales.

It was next to the Eurostar terminal

The bathroom was terrible. There was no way of stopping the bathroom from flooding after a brief shower.
