Charming historic little hotel. Lovely central location but quiet. Good restaurant. Charming owners.

Reception not always available.

The breakfast was great. My room was great. Friendly and professional staff . When I arrived , one gentleman helped me carry my suitcase upstairs. The day I left a young lady helped me solve another problem.Location was perfect for the places I wanted to visit.

The only minus for me who has a hard time climbing stairs, was that this old cozy house did not have an elevator - but I should have thought about that beforehand. Despite this technical problem, I enjoyed my stay very much! Thank you!

The location was close to shops and restaurants, in walking distance. The room was clean, and the staff were great and made us feel welcomed.

It was very hot in the room, air conditioning would have made it more comfortable.

The hotel is extremely clean. I can usually always find some area of improvement in the cleanliness category, but this place is spotless. The location is also very convenient, in the middle of the little town with parking and restaurants nearby.

I can't suggest any improvements, except maybe they could offer a hand towel instead of only bath towels.

Good points for: beautiful location, warm room and water in the shower, clean

Bad points for:I booked via booking an apartment with kitchen worth 315 euro for 3 nights. When I arrived, I was given a double room being explained that the apartment was not available and that this room is part of the same category as the apartment (even though it was smaller and had no kitchen).The guy at the reception said he needs to call the boss who, as I understood later, is also the owner. This lady was quite rude to me (the phone was on speakerphone) and did not want to give me back the difference from booking an apartment and receiving a double room (on booking the price for a double room was 290 euro)As I came in Gelnhausen for a family event and didn’t want to spend more energy fighting with the owner, I took the room as it was - smaller, without kitchen and for the same price as the apartment .But I do feel that this review must be written as a notice to anybody who wants to stay in this hotel

The location was outstanding. The restaurant nearby was delicious. Many choices.

No parking nearby. Parkplatz was a bit of a nightmare but very helpful people nearby that helped us get our car out
