Dorint Hotel Esplanade Jena

great beds, great shower, super friendly staff in the bar and during breakfast

In general the staff is friendly and nice.

I did not like that the air conditioning was week and there were no new options in the breakfast, every morning we had the same food. The shower was nor working properly.

We had wonderful time with family in the hotel. Staff was very nice, wonderful breakfast with plenty of choice. Very clean and spacious room. Nice glass lifts. Highly recommended.

Parking lifts is rather for small cars, we had Skoda Superb and it did not fit.

This is a lovely hotel and a great choice for visiting Jena. The view from our hotel room over Jena was lovely, the personal very friendly (we even had a little Christmas surprise brought to our room) and the fitness center is a dream.

Could not be better

We had a big comfortable room with enough place for all 4 of us. The stuff was very friendly and helped us to clarify our booking mistakes.

The bed was set out of two single beds- not very comfortable.

Beautiful hotel with a perfect location in the city center. all attractions within a few minutes walk. Delicious and rich breakfast, pleasant and helpful staff, very quiet hotel.

Parking was very simple. The breakfast food choice was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful. The room was light and cheerful, with a delightful view over the neighbouring shopping mall(!)

nothing really, it all worked well.

Breakfast was more than exceptional. Room size for family of four was more than enough. Location: 10 minutes of walking distance from Jena Paradise train station.

Very professional staff. Welcome glass of sekt. I booked a standard room and got a rooftop view with a terrace. For 1 person. My small dog even got a treat and 2 bowls prepare in the room. Very comfortable room and lots of space. Breakfast was delicious and lots of options. Private underground parking below the hotel. Bar and restaurant located within the hotel also. Central location of hotel.

Very good hotel with very good service and perfect location in city center with parking

Room and bathroom were very nice and clean, bed was comfortable. Location was perfect.

Breakfast was good but little bit too pricey comparing to the offer.

First time back since the name change from Steigenberger to Dorint and most things are still the same including the great service and breakfast. After checking into my room there was a strong odour of wet carpet which didn't go away because the AC in the room was not working. However the young lady at reception quickly booked me into another room which I found much more comfortable and did not have that strong odour. I much preferred the new room I was given which was more spacious. She also gave me the bar vouchers the previous receptionist forgot to give to me, and quickly sorted out a payment discrepancy after the previous receptionist who checked me in mixed up the numbers and charged me about €60 more than my booking. She realised his mistake and quickly rectified it. She was really helpful and friendly and made my stay more enjoyable despite the issues I faced. I definitely applaud her for a great job. I still don't understand why those errors were made by the first receptionist but payment details is something that should be carefully considered because if I had decided to pay during check out and the same mistake was made, it might have made getting the refund more complicated after I had left. However I am very grateful for the quick solution of the young lady at the reception and her helpfulness throughout my stay. Hence my high score.

I like how the bathtubs have been changed to showers however these showers need a door, because the drain is strangely placed making it easy for the bathroom to get wet when taking a shower. The pillows are also too flat and made it difficult to sleep with one. Hence I had to use 2 to feel comfortable. The pillows should be changed for newer ones that don't deflate immediately you place your head on them.

Good locattion. All clean

For some reason it was weary expensive when checking out.Breakfast and parking doubled the price of stay

Good location, super clean, good breakfast, I can really recommend this hotel

Delicious breakfast, excellent location, very quiet and very kind staff.

The car parking was interesting, as you have to drive you car through an elevator. They offer charging for your electric car with a flat fee for the charge. You need to arrange the charging at the desk. The room was quite nice!
