Pros +
- Generous ground floor space, good modern furnishing / outfitting including a water boiler + tea/coffee supplies.Windows faced the station but were adequately soundproofed.
- Jena is a small city, so everything is within walking distance from the hotel. It's located next to a train station, however, this is not the main Jena's train station, and you will likely need to get to another one. Despite the train station, it's quite in the night.
- bed was comfy and it was not noisy even though the location near to the main road
Cons -
- No luggage storage can be an issue since the Bahnhof has very few lockers, so I had to carry my backpack all over town.Strange noises came from the floor above, someone likely playing Video Games overnight. Arrival guidance provided only in German which I could follow. However why no English copy?
- They claim the hotel is small, with only 10 rooms, but IMO the property itself is not that small. We didn't meet any staff, but they are monitoring video surveillance and can contact you, when you're next to the check-in machine. I didn't receive a code for self check-in in time, so had to ask them right before.
- The satellite TV connection was anything but optimal — apart from dozens (and I’m not exaggerating!) of duplicate channels from various parts of Germany, there were only a couple of non-government stations, and none of the international (and even independent German) news stations, such as BBC, CNN, TV5 Monde, etc. Worse still, there were umpteen shopping channels instead!

Very conveniently located. The room was modern, comfortable, spacious and clean. And, despite the fact that the main train station and bus station were next door, it was a quiet night.

Very close to station paradies and bus and tram. Walking distance to the center. Easy check in and check out. The room is clean but lacking decors making it less cozy. Room is very spacious but that makes it look empty without decors.
The room is a basic room for people to sleep. There is no personnel interaction as they give you instructions for check in before hand. Not that it’s a big deal but if you travel alone and have difficulties, will be harder to ask for help. The towels are to thin and short, hard to dry yourself with it. I think its a new hotel and they will still improve it in the future..
Check in was very easy, and the location cannot be beat. There is easy access to the train station, public transport, and the historical centre of Jena. There weren't that many people staying at the hotel during my stay, which made it very quiet, but the passing trains may be disturbing to some people.
Management of the hotel is very hands off; more like an Airbnb than a hotel from that perspective. The property did feel a little sterile. However, management are responsive if there are issues.
Very clean, very central, inexpensive
Great hotel right outside the station in Jena Code for entry sent to you before so easy to enter. Nice rooms so comfortable nice bathroomOnly about 10 min walk to centre of Jena
big room , bed was comfortable
the bathroom wasn’t in the room
The room was okay and clean for the most part. The wifi was excellent and that is about where the good stuff ends.
I think my issue was that this hotel was not meant for long stays (16 days).. which I understand. The room was always humid even after airing it out. There is no everyday cleaning and they only came to clean my room once in the two weeks. I also started with two blankets and two pillows on a king size bed and when they came to clean my room, they left me with one blanket and one pillow. I had to constantly ask (like 3 times) for more toilet paper, because they weren't regularly checking. The window to my room overlooked Jena Paradis train station and the street, so I couldn't have my curtains open without people looking in, because all the rooms are ground floor. The pictures of the property are misleading, you think its this nice villa but in reality, its the ground floor with offices above.
The location is very convenient - near to the city center, very near to the main station and the bus stationThe beds are very comfortableThe place is very cleanThere is a hot watter jug in the room, together with a selection of caffee and tea for your morning drink
The "budget room" was advertised on the Booking.com website as having a private bathroom, however that was not the case. The bathroom was outside of the room and shared with the neighbour room. There is no reception in the hotel, everything is managed over the telephone or Booking.com messaging. However, calls outside the working hours are answered in an unfriendly manner and generally not welcome. There is a possibility for a pet, but only for a fee. Even for small pets.Because there is no reception and personal in the hotel, everything is monitored over security cameras (not in the rooms, however) and the feeling is not pleasant. Still even more unpleasant when your bathroom is outside of your room and you must go to the toilet with the security camera infront of it.Generally unfriendly communication.
The room was very clean and comfortable.
It is a very personal view, it was q bit too close to the street for my taste.
Everything was as promised
I never saw any staff. This also was known from the website. It states if you need something we will be there for you. Nothing was needed, all was a promised. So it was a good experience over all.
Entry was possible at any time, even late at night
It is a really simple room but perfect for a few nights. Really quite even been next to the bus station.
Location is good just in front of the Jena paradise station
