Hotel Califfo

The staff at front desk and during morning breakfast were very helpful and nice.

Very disappointed to have chosen the hotel for its pool, only to find out that it is closed from 7pm-10am. We arrived after a 5 hour drive hoping to cool off and relax in the pool to find it closed when we arrived at 7:10pm. We had to catch our flight at 8am so couldn’t enjoy a swim in the am either. To make matters worse, this apparent 4 star property was super dated (no apparent upgrades anywhere in the facility) and cheap plastic glasses and shower gel/ soap. Asked front desk for a proper glass and ice since pool was closed and lady running bar was rude and un-accommodating.

The bedroom was clean, comfortable and staff was amazing.

The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all during our stay.

This was a Resque for us after the bad experience at Secréte suites. We just stopped in and got a room for the night. The owner even spent time with us in the morning to talk about ”old” times.

room was very old looking. 2 single beds pushed together to make a double bed. 1 mattress lower than the other.Shower a disgrace, you had to hold the shower head in your hand to wash yourself. Breakfast was a joke. If you were not up at 7am every morning you missed out on hot food. Needs to shut down and modernise the whole place.

We booked breakfast but were then told it was not in our packaged - in 50 years of travelling we have never experienced this

The reception staff were nice an did their best but the hotel and grounds are run down, the pool is unusable, the there is food was food waste dumped next to the pool, the electrical unit near the pool was in a dangerous condition and the whole area was desolate and miserable the rooms were remiscent of prison cells and the lauded ‘balcony sea view’ was a rubbish dump in the grounds. We only stayed one night as it was so depressing.

it's more like a motel, the wifi wasn't working and the toilet didn't flush well. Otherwise everything was clean and the breakfast was great!

Hotel feedbackPositive : -The stuffs are very kind, friendly and helpful. -Providing umbrella. ( you must check it if it works , unfortunately we didn’t check and had bad experience but it was our responsibility) -Free parking area - Clean rooms, daily housekeeping service. - there are supermarket, pharmacy and few restaurants/ bars and the best RENTAL CAR place of Sardinia near by 4 min walk. (CRT & Dammevan Via Cipro 34:c / Diego) -22 minutes by walk from sandy beach -12 minutes by walk from stony beach

Negative:- breakfast was disappointing. There’re many types of sweet and unhealthy food alternative’s such as jams, desserts, cakes( it would be better to have healthy breakfast options such as different cheeses’ olives , healthy breads alternatives , and some veggies. ) The food should be checked if it’s still fresh or warm in the breakfast.- Room furniture and bathroom are too old. - Plastic consumption is unfortunately too high ( plastic cups are used in the restaurant and also in the bathroom) - - Check in time is too late (3 pm) and check out time is too early (10 am. ) We arrived in hotel at 9 am and wanted to enter a little bit earlier if it’s possible but we had to wait 6 hours and there is no proper bar facility in the hotel to spend time. - -WiFI connection is too weak, we had to consume our roaming data unfortunately.- It would be nice to have an extra pillow.

Pool was great. Breakfast is great loads of choice. Staff are very friendly would highly recommend.

The double bed isn't a double bed. It's two single beds put together which is usually fine but not when there is wheels on both of the single beds. The beds constantly slide around.

Disappointing

Very shaby, old style hotel, no attention to detail regarding cleaning of rooms. Dust and hair found on sheets and around room. Pool area very abandoned and not maintained.

The reception staff were fantastic and super helpful and nice, were willing to help us with anything we need! Big thanks to all of them!

Wi-Fi did not work at any point during the whole trip in out room, and the breakfast was kind of bland. No bar outside like on the pictures and you could only bring plastic cups, and you can not bring anything from the outside

Hotel with a huge parking in front of it, quite close to the port & ferries. It's a great place to stay for a night or during business trip. The personnel is very friendly and helpful, even late in the evening. A lot of motorcycle riders, so I'd recommend the place for riders as well.

Wi-fi was a bit spotty, so that's something to be improved for sure.

Close to the airport

Poor breakfast, they really can't prepare scrambled eggs properly. It didn't taste good and didn't look good at all. Bad coffee-it's sad because it's Italy. Wifi doesn't work, we told to reception but nothing changed. Beach is quite far, you have to walk there 15-20 minutes.Very uncomfy pillows.Pool was ok but the area was closed from 19-10 so couldn't even sit there at the evenings. Pool bar didn't work, everything looked abandoned and old. Luckily there was a pool guy who was very friendly and helpful. Not worth 4* , better 1* or 2*.

The pool was very nice. Location was quiet, but there was a shop nearby, where we could do some groceries. There is a bus stop near the hotel, which was very nice for us.

After first day of our stay, Wifi in the hotel stopped working, and it haven't been fixed until we checked out.Pool opening hours are a bit short, especially if you want to go sightseeing.

All the staff are good and helpful reception /restaurant/barmaid/pool and maintenance and cleaner
