Castello di Fagnano -Albergo Diffuso & SPA

Pros +

• Kind and attentive staff (Noemi), great view from room's balcony, good sized room.
• Breakfast was great, plenty of choice. Everything was delicious and staff were nice and helpful. The place itself was beautiful and clealiness was exceptional. The spa was superb.

Cons -

• It wasn't clear enough that the breakfast place is a bit distant from the actual room and it requires going up a steep ladder, not suitable for people with walking issues. Same problem accessing the external pool. Room cleaning could be improved as bedside tables were quite dusty. Breakfast options are limited to only sweet cakes and some sweet or savory pastries.
• It seemed they were short-staffed, which meant we had to work around their availability and not the other way around. All rooms were booked - so they might have needed more staff to accommodate everyone's needs. For example, the hotel policy says the spa is available from 9:30 to 19:00 every day for guest booking. However, we could not book it for 9:30am because the poor staff member who was busy with serving breakfast, doing reception work, and room organising could not also set the spa up for us until 11am (until she finished with serving breakfast). They let us use the spa after we checked out but these hours disrupted our plans for that morning and we had to rearrange things. On another note, while the rooms were very clean, spacious, pretty, and plenty of toiletries and things to use (even a beard shaving kit!!) we did not find the beds too comfortable.
