Buonamico Wine Resort

Very relaxing

The wellness center was closed, no service until afternoon. We arrived early & no one to greet, restrooms etc.

The resort is good , clean, large room et large storage, restaurant very good

Location neat lucca but we need a car ,there not a place to make running or quiet walk , no running paths

Loved everything about this place. Beautiful room, views and ambience. Wished we had booked longer visit. Chiara who did our wine tasting was very attentive and friendly. All the staff were incredible.

Balcony in need of power washing. Safe did not work for majority of the 4night stay (although properly safe was offered not particularly useful as reception only open part-time

The room was big and the view was amazing!

We booked the place in order to enjoy the spa the restaurant and to book a massage.Non of the above was available.We were informed that the spa is under renovation and they the restaurant is closed.When we complained we were told that we booked last minute.Which I hardly disagree. As we were deserve to know this crucial information ahead.

I had an outstanding experience at this resort. The customer service was exceptional—always helpful, friendly, and available during working hours. The room was stunning, offering a spectacular view, and the breakfast was excellent.Everything was perfect. The sunrises from this hotel are simply spectacular, and the room was incredibly comfortable. It was unfortunate that the spa was out of service on the day we visited, and we couldn’t use it, but this didn’t take away from our overall enjoyment.We had a wonderful stay and will certainly keep this hotel in mind for our next trip to Tuscany.

One suggestion I have is to improve the visibility of the hotel from the road. Being located at the top of a hill (with no lights on the road) makes it difficult to find, especially at night. Adding a well-lit sign at the entrance with the hotel’s name would greatly help future guests.

Loved the venue. Had a lovely spacious bedroom and large bathroom- ticked many boxes!Restaurant was delightful- food excellently cooked and presented. Breakfast on our terrace was good. We would have preferred going to the restaurant but a small thing in the overall experience. If in the area we would rush back here! Staff were exceedingly helpful and arranged a taxi to go up to Montecarlo for dinner. Taxi was expensive- 20 euros each way for a 5 minute drive. Think they had to come from Lucca .

Just would have preferred breakfast in the restaurant- but as I said a small thing that didn’t hinder our overall delight at this hotel.

The property is beautiful and the views incredible. The room was big and lots of space inside for two adults and a 4 year old. The private terrace and small garden is perfect for breakfast in the morning.

WiFi wasn't great and we had three days with no Access to it. The staff work certain times and are not there all day so if you miss them it's hard to get an answer. But, when you did get to speak to the staff they were all lovely and helpful.

This is ultimate resort to get away and relax, the rooms are superb, modern, large and so well soundproofed you could sleep all day. Aircon was ice cold. You will definitely need transport if you stay here, not on any public transport route and the restaurant opens at 7:30pm so you will need to lunch out. There is a beautiful little hill town called Montecarlo close by (3k) with great restaurant's Lucca is a must see 25 minutes by car. The pool area is lovely with sun loungers always available. Breakfast was excellent too. I would absolutely love to come back in the future our 2 night stay on our Tuscan road trip was fantastic.

NO extra services available ! No drinks at swimming pool, no bar, no service during the day!!!Breakfast very ‘selective’ with few possibilities (no eggs, no fruit ) !Only a room with (small) breakfast and dinner possible in this ‘hotel’ ! Ideal hotel to stop 1 night and have dinner before you travel further…This is more an ideal ‘B&B service’ but no ‘full hotel service’…

The restaurant staff weren’t professional. They didn’t know who ordered what food in the table. On our second day there was a wedding in the hotel and we were told that we will not get anything from the bar. The breakfast is served in the room but the assortment of food that you can order is very limited. No eggs, no fresh vegetables and fruits. We got some after specifically asked.

The rooms, location, wine tasting, pool, breakfast and landscape were all top notch. Well done.

Dinner at the winery was AWFUL. They took almost 45 minutes to even acknowledge us at our table. Didn't even serve water. We ordered a bottle of wine and the server opened it up and just left it there. We ordered food - ravioli, eggplant parm, and risotto....all were served COLD. The least they could've done was warm them up in the microwave!!! If I wanted supermarket food, I would not have gone there for dinner. I told the manager all this and he tried convincing me that I don't know cold from hot. It got a bit heated and our party of 6 simply left the table. This is the first time we have ever left food on the table after complaining. Usually, poor service improves after you complain, but not the case here at Buonamico. They tried convincing me that expecting fresh, hot food from a restaurant is too much. And to top it off, they tried to charge us for this the next morning at check-out. What a scam!!!

The food served in the restaurant was excellent. The selections of wine that we tasted were superb. We popped into the wine shop to taste the olive oil and a sparkling rosè. We came away with purchases of both which were great. The pool area was very quiet and peaceful and the furniture was very comfortable especially the lovely double sofa/beds. Great size pool and lovely vuews of the surrounding vines.

The bedroom and bathroom had some design issues which i wouldn't have expected from this standard of accommodation. There was no dressing table. Only a small area to store one suitcase. There were no USB charging points. The bathroom had no hooks to hang clothes or towels, just a towel rail which was in the shower area. Although we saw other guests with bathrobes at the pool, we had none provided in our room. The most disappointing thing was the breakfast. As this was the last location on our busy but very enjoyable trip to Tuscany I was looking forward to a relaxing breakfast on our balcony as advertised. Unfortunately the food was very poor. It all seemed as if it had been removed from packets. I had pastries in a service station later that morning which were far more tasty and appealing. Having chosen the Buonamico resort especially for its gourmet restaurant and wine it was such a let down.

We loved the space and the layout of the hotel and individual rooms. The attention to detail for comfort was exceptional. Breakfast was traditional, custom to your liking and delivered privately each morning. The pool was fabulous and the view was incredibly breathtaking. To add to this the town was quietly and perfectly a tiny delight of authentic Italy.

There was zero to not be happy with.

It was a beautiful and clean property however the WiFi from the room was a problem and did not don’t work. The breakfast included was tasty

The WiFi didn’t work

- Central location for day trips- Great swimming pool- Spacious rooms

- Our hotel room (with terrace) was directly under the restaurant. This gave quite some noise until 23:30-0:00- Should make better use of their own products (sparkling wine and olive oil) with breakfast. There are no options to include any of them. - There is a beautiful restaurant with nice views. Unfortunately, there is only breakfast in your room- There was no option to leave luggage before 3pm at the reception. We heard this a day in advance. From 11 am to 3 pm there is nobody at the reception.

Great wine resort, with wine tasting available on site.Lovely large, clean rooms, with walk in showers and balconies.Amazing 5 course tasting dinner with paired wines!

There wasn’t much that could have been improved, apart from a slightly better choice for breakfast.
