Pros +
- The rooms are beautiful and the beds are extremely comfortable with a delicious breakfast The hotel is quiet and a very short walk to the centre of town and an easy drive from Malpensa airport We arrived late and Alessandro at reception was so helpful The styling of the hotel is beautiful with many artworks and quirky touches I would definitely book this hotel again
- Spacious room, warm and fairly comfortable.
- Clean and comfortable but very very dated. Felt like staying in your grandmothers house amongst her antique collection.
Cons -
- Decor very dated, hard mattress, bathroom shabby, no English speaking television channels.
- Very dates and in need of update. Not a 4 star hotel
- There's an odd eccentricity about the decor in the hotel. You'll either like it or you won't. It wasn't to my particular taste. Overall, the place is a little dated. I didn't particularly like the breakfast arrangements either.

The room was a decent size and the place was clean.

The hotel was great, the room was very spacious and clean. The gentleman and the lady from the reception were polite.
We had a really bad experience with the kitchen personnel. We were shocked to see and hear what was happening when we entered the restaurant to have breakfast at 8 a.m.The lady in the kitchen was arguing with a gentleman waiting in the queue for breakfast. Apparently, she had something against a certain nation of people from Eastern Europe. The gentleman was part of a big group of people who were staying in the hotel.I personally was terrified by this woman and the way that she was talking to this man and this was one of the worst racist abuse I ever witnessed. This lady was so rude and for the entire time I was there (about 20 minutes) she kept complaining about "these people". I was really surprised that there was no intervention from the management. If this happened in the UK, the Police would have been called straight away and that woman would have been under serious investigation.
The staff was very nice, the rooms big and everything very clean.
Lack of options for breakfast. It was disappointing.
Friendly staff
Very old facilities, worst variety and quality of breakfast I ever met. The windows and door to balcony leaking air from outside. I can't understand how that hotel is 4 star...
Second time staying at this hotel and there was a slight booking issue, not the hotels fault may I add. Big thanks to the lovely receptionist who spent an evening sorting it out, in this day and age it is so nice to see exceptional service still exists. Many thanks to that lovely lady.Perfect hotel for a stop over, easy to find, and in a street you can just park outside. And within a few minutes walk into the centre of Novara.
Nothing to report ?
There were many great aspects of this hotel, but I also see opportunities for improvement. My review will be constructive because I truly believe this hotel has the potential to be something special. I stayed in a suite at a reasonable price, which was a strong point for them. The bed was huge, comfortable, and absolutely incredible, making for a restful night. The unique feature of the suite was its access to a balcony—what a fantastic idea! However, it felt like a missed opportunity. The balcony could really benefit from an outdoor lounge area, separate from the rest of the hotel, along with a stylish bar lounge for guests and locals. I envisioned enjoying a refreshing drink while overlooking the central city, watching the neighborhood come alive. On the downside, the breakfast was average, and the last thing guests want to hear is employees arguing with each other. That kind of behavior is unprofessional and should never happen in a hospitality setting. With a few improvements, this hotel could truly stand out.
The room design felt like a missed opportunity. There was too much furniture, so I rearranged it to create a more comfortable space for the next guest—I hope they kept my changes! The bathroom was a great size, but the shower could use a touch of luxury to elevate the overall experience. A larger shower would make it more enjoyable, and it would be nice to see something creative done with the balcony. As of right now, I wouldn’t pay full price for the suite or consider it for a romantic weekend. It’s disappointing from that standpoint, and I truly hope the hotel invests in making that room something special for future guests.
The AC unit was really old, it sounds like a camion, I couldn’t sleep because of the noise.
I found lot of dust and hair in the bed. The bed cover wasn’t clean at all.
The hotel has a lot of character, e.g. the collections of clocks, typewriters etc on display. Our room was very nice, if just a little "tired". The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, great selection, and we didn't feel rushed at all. Parking was easy, but was on the street outside.
Be aware that the hotel is in a residential area, some distance from shops and restaurants so you will need a car.
Uncomfortable beds, bad indoor air, boring breakfast.
The cleaning of the room when we arrived: the air con was off and the air in the room was dense and still with a heavy stank of cleaning detergent. It took hours to improve but then detergent smell remained. We complained but the staff would not solve it.Breakfast was what you can do at home.
The room was big enough and every day the room was cleaned.
It says that it is a 4 star hotel but seems to have lost some stars during the time. For breakfast you have a lot of choices but vegetables were missing. In the fridge you always have 2 bottles of water and you think that is complementary, but at the end you need to pay for it and nowhere says that is the minibar.
As always the breakfast was amazing. Staff as always pleased to see us.
Air conditioning was not really good.
??
My wife was clearly very ill so we arrived at 12, but no room was available before 14:30 they said. And left us sitting sick in the lobby. At 14:30 still no room. At 15:00 (official check-in time) no room, and we were asked to wait another 15 min. At 15:25 still no room available. But after my heavily protest we finally got an upgrade to a room that had been available the whole time!!Also personal at breakfast was very unfriendly, she did not greet us but send us (2 person) in a very unfriendly way away from a table for 3 to a very small 2 p table.
Central location
Very old building, poor breakfast options
Very good breakfastGood bedsNice room and bathroo
The hotel was very comfortable, clean, conveniently located near the city, and offered a wonderful breakfast. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and kind. I also enjoyed the nostalgic decor throughout the hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and also speak English very well , the location is ok too. The beds are comfortable. If you are staying in Novara there are not many options so this hotel is ok.
They say they have free parking but they don't have thier own car park and you must park on the street, which is free, but can be very full and difficult to find a free spot. In the bathroom you will find hair and body shampoo, but this was produced in China in 2016 and the expiry date is 2019, so they are offering you this in 2023/24 and i believe this is not very professional.
Staff helpful. Sadly, needed taxis, to Anicura.Expensive, and very time consuming. Novarello Hotel failed to notify others, and me,that rooms were available. Novarello far more convenient. Not dismissing la bussarola,an excellent hotel, but didn't really suit me.
The taxis! The distance!
