Hotel Elbflorenz Dresden

Great location

I chose this because it had air conditioning but it could not keep up with the heat. I didn't sleep well at all or I would have given the room rating an excellent.

Great location to Dresden Altstadt and the Christmas Markets. Nice little market is close by for snacks.

It was a comfortable bed and room. Very pet friendly. Very nice hotel, staff very helpful, and about half way between old town and train HBF station.

Location is about 15-20min walk to the old town and a bit further from other parts of the city and the tram did not come often to the hotel stop. It is great if you want a more quiet area, are traveling via train or want easy parking. Unfortunately, we did not like the food and drinks

Everything was great. Parking garage is right at the hotel which is important in any big city. Good restaurant, good breakfast, the staff is friendly and helpful. Historic center is in 15 min walking distance.

Property was close to tram stop to travel into town.

Musty smell in the room. Bed was hard and pillows were far too soft. Very awkward to try and prop up and watch television from bed as pillows just sunk flat. Not great for sleeping on either. We requested tea making facilities and charged 5 euros. We were advised cleaning staff would replenish and replace dirty cups.They did not- disappointing. Luckily we had our own tea bags.

Placed well and easy to reach. It was well provided for in the variety of different food options. The extended time of breakfast to 11:0am was helpful particularly when arriving late in the evening. Staff were helpful and always ensuring tables were available to new guests.

The location was great, one S-bahn Station or two from Hbf, and less 20 minutes walk to the city center and almost all tourist attractions. The hotel is big, classic and seemed to be very safe, authorized.

The hotel is old, to some extent, but its fine.

An exceptional stay at the Hotel Elbflorenz. Great and forthcoming hotel staff, at the reception, in the housekeeping and in the restaurant. A fantastic breakfast buffet, with wide and appealing choices, well-presented and looked after. The hotel is highly to recommend.

Room was OK, no tea/coffee facilities in the room. Room was very quiet and looking out onto the internal courtyard.Problem with bath / shower drain, water glasses not cleaned during our two night stay. Bottled water not replenished.Reception and restaurant staff very communicative and friendly. Evening meal in the restaurant was very slow to arrive for our party of four. Breakfast offering was very plentiful and of good quality. Perking available directly below the hotel.

Good comfortable fairly basic hotel. Very helpful staff. Good pizza restaurant and bar. Good breakfast with good options.

It was about a 25 minute walk to the centre of the old town. Although after all the schnitzel and sausage we ate - maybe that was a good thing! :)

I loved the double bedroom! The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and clean, and the room was quiet.

The staff were friendly, nice and helpful. I let them know ahead of time it was my husband's birthday and they provided a little cake in our room to celebrate. Really nice touch.

The hotel is located a little out of the centre of town but only a quarter of an hour's walk or two stops on the tram (3.40 euros) and that stops on the hotel's doorstep. Reception and room were both first class and impeccably clean though the bathroom did have a stale water smell about it. There is an Italian restaurant on site (the 4cani) and an attractive outside sitting area with an artificial pond. We were not impressed by the courtesy of a male serving at the bar but everyone else was friendly and competent. We were fortunate to find a ground level parking space (free) immediately outside reception but there was also limited space in their payable underground car park. Excellent breakfast and overall excellent value for money.

The beds were a tiny bit hard.

The breakfast is extensive and offers a huge variety of foods. The rooms are a good size with a large bathroom, vanity basin, as well as a full-sized bathtub. The hotel also offers a nice restaurant.

The beds are very hard and not particularly comfortable. Also, instead of a double/queen bed, there were two single beds pushed together. In addition, the bed covering supplied was two single duvets i.e. not a double sheet or blanket. However, the hotel did supply some firm supportive pillows to replace the usual extremely soft pillows which are typically provided in German hotels.

Tasty breakfast with a lot of choices to ensure a balanced breakfast with loads of healthy options such as fruits, eggs, bacon, sausages, yoghurt, and some vegetables such as cucumber and tomatoes, as well as a sweet treat such pancakes and a small piece of cake to indulge with a cup of tea or coffee. It's always worth booking with a breakfast included.

The shower curtain in the bathroom. As it is already a small shower with a shower head that can splash the water everywhere, having the curtain to put into the shower tray makes it uncomfortable. With the small shower, shower glass doors would be more comfortable and suitable. The sigh of the shower in the bathroom lowers the overall experience of the business double room. Other than that, the room was very comfortable and pleasant.

As always it has been an absolute pleasant and lovely experience to stay in this hotel, which has become my favourite hotel for my frequent visits in Dresden, Germany. The staff members are always friendly, and there is a 24/7 service available at the reception to accommodate any requests as well as late check-ins if needed. I love that there are free apples provided if you need a snack when leaving the hotel lobby. The breakfast has a rich variety of very tasty savory and sweet treats to have either cereals, bread with cold meats or cheeses, pancakes, or scrambled eggs with sausages and bacon, as well as some small pieces of cake, a selection of fruits and yoghurt, allowing for a nutritious and healthy, balanced meal. I always try to book a room with the breakfast included as it always sets me up for a great day. Also, the seat arrangement to enjoy your breakfast allows for a peaceful environment where you can choose where to sit in a spacious dining area.

There was nothing left to wish for at this time of my stay. The room was absolutely fabulous and exceeded my expectations of a peaceful and pleasant stay. The bed was very comfy, the shower functional, clean and very pleasant, the room itself was spacious with a lot of comfort on the top floor which made for a quiet and peaceful stay.
