B&B Hotel Dresden-Messe

It was clean, it’s not a bad place for a few nights. Walking distance to the city center. Quiet at night and close to shops and restaurants. The staff was really nice, i had to swap rooms since my original room was giving me some sort of allergy ( maybe a previous host had an animal since is a pet friendly accommodation) and the lady at the desk from Serbia was incredibly helpful and nice. Bonus point to their staff!

Didn’t had a mini fridge to put some food or drinks. Nothing major, can be nice but is not ruining the stay.

Parking and pet fee are reasonable. Rooms are spacious.

Breakfast could use a few more options. Chairs for kids in the breakfast lounge weren't clean. Staff could be a bit more friendly when it comes to simple requests like filling the thermos with hot water.

It was clean, located in great area. Staff members were friendly and helpful. Reception and first floor also looked very cozy.

Beds were little too narrow for us, had to keep one position not to fall off the bed, but mattress was pretty soft and comfortable. Also they had no designated smoke area inside of the hotel, nor balcony inside of the room. Going out of hotel at night in freezing temperatures was not great at all.

Everything was excellent. The location is very convenient, close to tram and bus stops, making travel easy and hassle-free.

The food selection was a bit limited, and unfortunately there were no German sausages.

Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, friendly and helpful staff. Easy access to train station and trams, or 10-15 mins walking into old town. Rewe supermarket across the street.

Towels were very thin and worn, probably should be replaced.

The service was not very good, particularly from a red-haired girl. One of the employees smelled strongly of sweat, which I did not like. The smell permeated the entire room. We use to be happy with B&B but not this time

Pleasant

The bathroom ventilator runs constantly and there is no switch to turn it off, so we could hear it all night. Additionally, the mattresses were quite hard.

Good location, Old town just across the river. easy to find …. Parking was convenient . Room was a bit dated and on the smaller side, but satisfied our needs. Very helpful staff. Great little bakery across the street!

We arrived at night and sidewalk up to the lobby was very dark and in need of repair. Wi-fi was sketchy and unreliable. Breakfast (which we didn’t partake in) was expensive. Definitely not deal breakers tho!

I found the staff quite lazy, they would not clean the room unless requested, and then I had to request it 3 or 4 times before they finally did it, and it was a lousy job.It is ok for a short stay, but I had a reason to stay longer.I would not stay there again

The carpet is so smelly and dirty both in the corridors and inside the room. Other stuff like hairdryer was also very badly cleaned and looked like nobody uses it for a longtime

Location and price staff was excellent.

Rome could have been biger

Good location, parking availability.

Bad value for money, dirty room (we found a piece of glass and other rubbish on the carpet) , poor breakfast, you should wait to find free table for breakfast ~ 10 min, bad cleaning service (our towels weren’t changed).

Personal opinion : soft bed

Very fast check-in – minimal questions, maximum efficiency. The young woman at the reception explained everything clearly, and the whole process took no more than five minutes. There’s also the option to check in without interacting with the staff by using a self-service machine located near the reception. The room was clean, with very little dust on surfaces; the bathroom was convenient, spotless, and had hot water with good pressure. There’s a grocery store right across the street, which I found very convenient, especially if you don’t book breakfast at the hotel. The soundproofing in the room is excellent – during my three-day stay, I didn’t hear my neighbors once (and I’m sure there were guests staying nearby).

There are just as many cons as pros. The first thing you notice upon arrival is the dusty carpet, which should be vacuumed more often – especially under the beds, where there were piles of dust (and since the beds are on wheels, it wouldn’t take much effort for the staff to move them). People with dust allergies should be cautious. The room also lacks a kettle and a refrigerator, which can be quite inconvenient for longer stays.A very unpleasant surprise was finding a cockroach on the bathroom tile – insects in a hotel are absolutely unacceptable. Speaking of the tiles, I noticed black mold near the floor, an area that’s easy to overlook; the tiles should be cleaned more thoroughly and with stronger cleaning products.There’s also an unpleasant smell in the hotel – especially noticeable in the hallway (outside the rooms) and in the bathroom. It feels like the building isn’t aired out at all, which should be part of the housekeeping routine when cleaning rooms.
