Pros +
- Location was excellent, great breakfast, nice room. One staff in particular (forgot her name, spoke English and was working the desk when I arrived) went over and beyond to help me. I was so grateful.
- Value for money, nice complementary breakfast, location proximity to the center,
- Clean and big space in the private room. They provided simple but sufficient portion of the breakfast.
Cons -
- Check-in time at 16:00 is a bit late, and the room is pretty basic
- Not a really convenient location unless you enjoy walking all the time
- it's a youth hostel, so do not expect too much. No TV in your room, breakfast was included but was youth hostel style. If you expect hotel like accomodation, this is not what you are looking for

fair price for a location close to the center. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly

Don't let the word, "Hostel" have you look away! We booked a double room with private shower/toilet and it was great! The location is close to central Dresden (Christmas Markets) and very convenient! - The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They all spoke English exceptionally well! Breakfast was very good - lots of variety and plenty of it! I would highly recommend this hotel and will plan on visiting again in the future! Parking is a bit scarce, but there is free overnight street parking on the street in front of the hotel - just be sure to pay the automated parking machine by 8:00am the next morning!
Nothing comes to mind!
This is a very affordable place to stay in Dresden. The room was very bare bones - no tv, no fridge, etc. That was fine for me though. The bathroom was a nice size. There is a laundry room with iron, ironing board and W&D, which is convenient. The location is good for walking to the city center or bus & train station. The place was pretty clean.
It is a youth hostel and some of the youth guests can be very loud in the hallways. I recommend bringing earplugs, just in case.
Very well located; priced reasonably compared to other properties; excellent breakfast with vegan friendly options; great hospitality
they could mention the availability of a shared kitchen so guests can plan accordingly; additionally, a membership fees is charged if you’re not a member of the youth guest house, for your stay..that could be factored in the upfront booking fees.
What I like the most is the breakfast. It was rich with a lot of varieties. The food was pretty fresh. The bread was toasted and crunchy. I suspect that they make their bread. The location is very central. It's just two stops away from the main train station.
The room was very small. I didn't like the bed at all. There were two single beds in the room. I was looking for a big twin bed. The beding was very basic. There was no real mattress but a foam one. The room furniture was very basic with a table two chairs and a wardrobe. The whole facilty is full of teenagers. They can be boisterous and loud, running up and down the hallway and stairs. If you are very sensitive about noise, this environment could be challenging for you. There was also some type of construction work going on right outside of my windows. So there was extra loud noise that I tried to keep out by shutting my windows.
its a hostel - with all the basic. stong breakfast. Also option to get cheap lunch or dinner.
Great location, friendly staff, clean, varied breakfast even for Vegans (they have vegan cheese, sausage and spreads as well as soy milk and oat yogurt. More fruits could be nice though..), cheap self laundry at the basement and free luggage storage. They even gave me a small present since I checked in on my birthday ?
Minor things: The hotel is huge, so some walking distances can be expected to your room/to the breakfast area. Also, the dining tables are in separate rooms, and the lobby can sometimes become quite loud with all the youngsters around...
Friendly staff and welcome. Very good breakfast.
Relatively short bed.
Excellent choices for breakfast. Walking distance from principle features. Gerda at front desk assisted in changing a hard to reach bandage for me. Excellent value.
It's a hostel, but really decent one. No luxury, but everything works as expected. Ample breakfast, from selection of cheese to cold cuts, salads, fruits…
The day staff was so helpful in finding our way around. We only had a reservation for one night but he accommodated us even though it was our error in arrival dates.
There wasn’t really anything I didn’t like. It was good value for the money and the breakfast was more than expected. It is the only stay on our trip so far that had bananas.
It was a bit like scam due to the fact that they forced me to sign a yearly membership for 27€. That was not clear for me before the arrival.
I stayed in many different youth hostels (Jugendherberge) in Germany. This one is definitely among the good ones. You can easily reach the city center by bike and many tourist attractions. It is also clean and budget-friendly, which I definitely recommend if you travel to Dresden.
Clean room. Nice hot shower. Great breakfast. Very friendly people
Nothing really
The room was big and clean. Bathroom was also good. Facility is actually pretty nice with a nice breakfast in morning.
The pillows were not too great and radiator did not function well. I didn’t complain but I guess it was fine after a few hours. And this location is out of the way from all tourist areas so just keep that in mind. Will require a lot of walking to reach central train station and city center.
Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I had a very smooth check-in and was allowed to leave my car a few hours past the check-out time. Room was basic but comfortable. The property is a very comfortable walk to Altstadt and the historical sights.
Breakfast was a little disappointing; plenty of cafe options nearby, however.
The breakfast options were great and the staff were friendly.
The towels given to the room were dirty, the bathroom fan produced a terrible odor
