Pros +
- Everything about it was great.
- swimming pool access at 6.30 ambreakfast
- - Super conveniently located right next to the diving pool - Nice breakfast with plenty of choice- Clean and comfy rooms- Nice staff
Cons -
- no air conhorrible pillow and mattress
- "The amenities are similar to those in the IBIS chain—very basic, but sufficient for an overnight stay. A longer stay, however, might not be very comfortable.
- Room amenities: For a 3-star hotel, they didn't even have basic amenities like a hot water kettle, tea bags, mini bar, etc. There was no telephone to reach the reception, if you need to ask/want something at reception you have to walk. I have stayed in several hotels in many countries but these are some basic items any hotel has. Room Comfort: Very basic bed and pillows, as if you find in a pension. Very warm blankets without a thermostat to reduce the inside temperature. With all these things we did not have a comfortable sleep. Very limited/almost no noise protection. we could literally hear everything that happens in the corridor. Misleading info: In the website it is mentioned as a 'large double bed' in the Double rooms. In reality they are 2 single beds attached to each other. Our kid couldn't sleep in our bed because of the hole in between the 2 singles. I asked the reception over phone (after booking) if we will get a double bed so the kid can sleep with us, their answer was 'yes'. The travel crib they provided was small for my kid.Communication: Poor communication. I asked a few questions through booking.com message feature, I did not get any reply.

A very clean hotel with a rich breakfast, nice bathroom

Breakfast: The breakfast offered a fantastic variety of items, the guests won't become bored over a 2-3 night stay. Dinner: We dined at the on-site restaurant and the food was high quality and delicious. Hotel facilities: The hotel provides free access to the swimming pool. Since we traveled in winter, only the indoor pool was available. There are three different indoor pools to fit various swimming levels, and they have an indoor diving area as well which seemed popular in the town.Location: The hotel’s location is ideal, with a bus stop conveniently located at the doorstep. The town center is just a 10-minute walk away, featuring several excellent restaurants.Room size: Our room was larger than what we can find in most of the hotel rooms for a double room.

Clean room, very friendly staff, good breakfast 15 mins walking from Siegburg (or bus leaving from opposite the hotel). Very good value for money
the breakfast - like in hotel 4* - very diversified with good quality products, excellent coffee modern room with comfortable bed parking free of charge the kind staff good location near highwayGreek restaurant - 200 metres from hotel high level of cleanliness
We went for a diving trip and stayed at the hotel. It was very handy as the hotel is linked to the diving facility. The staffs are nice and friendly and the breakfast was nice also.
Spacious room in a quite modern hotel. Very good restaurant (food was actually amazing) and very convenient access to the pool club next door.
We visited the hotel in early September and the indoor pool was closed although the weather was not the best and too cold for the outside pool on the second day of our stay.
Friendly staff, big, clean rooms, great outdoor pool for the kids. Free parking!

Good location close to town centre but still in quiet area. You can walk to town and train station within 20 minutes. Facilities in the hotel is good. We spent a lot of time in the water park next to the hotel. We also like the traditional German dishes served in the hotel restaurant.
Pancakes served in breakfast should be provided each morning and we had it only on the Sunday morning.
A lovely hotel, beautifully decorated and furnished. Very clean. Great for access to the swimming pools next door and Siegburg is a nice town with good train links to Cologne central.
Not much storage space in room for your clothes and belongings. No kettle or bottled water in room.
The outside swimming pool is very nice.
Although I knew ahead of time from other reviews that there was no airconditioning, we booked anyway on a 24 degree Celcius day. But the room was still extremely hot from the summer days before, while the outside temp was nice, the building/room did not cool down. I had a hard time sleeping in the heat, the pillows are also not the best I’ve had.
Use of the outdoor pool was excellent, just a pity its not actually affiliated to the hotel
On the hottest day of the year in Germany, possibly globally, and upon arrival at the hotel, I poured my 6 year old daughter a small glass of water in the restaurant only to be accosted by an angry staff member who practically sprinted from behind the reception desk to inform me with unnecessary vigour that the water was not self service and I needed to stop pouring it immediately. I explained that I was merely trying to hydrate my sweat-laden child, only to be told these are the rules and I must leave the restaurant as we were outside of the advertised opening times - not a great start.Upon returning to the reception area several hours later I politely enquired about the location of the much advertised and rather splendid looking indoor swimming pool, only to be told with equal vigour that it is now permanently closed. I plucked up the courage to ask why it was still advertised as part of the hotel, only to be met with the distain one might expect when presenting someone with an unexpected court summons. Not deterred by my apparent run of bad luck, I asked if we could go and view the scuba-diving pool as it is shown as being part of reception in the photo's online, after being met with a glare that could penetrate lead, I was abruptly told that this had also changed and could no longer be viewed from reception. Marvellous. At this point, I started to think this may not be the Bavarian paradise I was expecting, however unperturbed I soldiered on and it wasn't until day 3 that a local guest approached my daughter and accosted her (in German) for sitting with her feet on one of the chairs in reception, I explained that she isn't yet fully bi-lingual being only 6, however he persisted to shout at her until I stood up and looked at him in a way that suggested it may not end well for him. As he meandered off muttering to himself the ever-helpful receptionist shrugged her shoulders as if to say well what do you expect, lovely stuff.
Breakfast
Wifi was so bad I could not stream Netflix. The hotel don't provide even a bottle of water, no soap in the bathroom. No a.c.
We are really well impressed with the kindness of the staff, the facilities, the breakfast and the hotel in general.
Lack of time to enjoy it longer!
Very nice hotel, the room was very clean, the breakfast was perfect with a variety of products and the personnel was friendly and professional!
Plenty of choice for breakfast. Used the pool and sauna. Bus stop right outside.
Pillow and shower could improve
Not what I expected from the images
No food apart from breakfast available on site in the week. The receptionist told me the restuarant opened at 6 then when I went there I was told only on weekends. This is not stated on booking.com shows a picture of a lovely restuarant. Pictures of room on booking, com look great mine was dark and basic. The pool in a municipal park next door by 3pm full of rowdy teenagers with litter and loud music. Towels really thin and old definitley seen better days.
