Ellex Eco Hotel

Convenient and quiet location. Hospitable staff. Bruna was amazing and so helpful!Great breakfast. The lounge area was comfortable, welcoming and large.

Parking was limited due to snow and although there is ample street parking 50 meters away, you need to haul your luggage up a 50 meter hill. Not fun on ice with skis and suitcases.

Food affordable but not on par with alternatives in the village.

Very cosy hotel, friendly staff, perfect location to go skiing as you are basically on the ski track. Also the food in the restaurant was good.

There were a few disappointments. First they informed us that there was no hot water the day we arrived. The water tank had been emptied. For this they offered free apperitivo, which was nice and I we were happy about that.Second they referred us to a restaurant down the street that had a la carte. the prices were very high and the food was not good. Not the hotel's restaurant but as they had the menu at reception they are clearly working together.The common area by reception has a very cosy lounge area with fire place. We asked if they could lit the fire but we were informed that the fireplace was broken. On our last night we booked the spa only to discover that the showers didn't work. They did not say anything about this. Anyway it was a little disappointing as we paid extra for the spa service. On the day of going home the parking area was full of snow. We had to do the snow shoveling ourselves before going which honestly just felt wrong.

Comfy downstairs lounge with fireplace, cozy couches and armchairs, playing cards, chess. Friendly staff. Free snacks with aperitivo in the evening. There's a very friendly and good value ski rental place just below the hotel.

Quality of food wasn't great (dinners with half-board not so good, breakfast was fine). Location is close to lifts (not ski-to-door) but access to the hotel is up a steep road, not great when wearing ski-boots. Could be improved with access (not only exit) to the hotel's ski-storage room via the garage.

Really nice room. Dazzling white sheets and comforter. Great balcony and chairs. Roomy and clean.

There was a kettle and tea bags, but a coffee machine or even some instant coffee would have been appreciated. Very pleasant and helpful staff at check in.

The hotel is right next to the Monte Rosa ski cable car. The €15 p.p. breakfast is a good deal to add to your booking. It has many options of what to eat and drink. The room is cosy, clean and warm with a balcony.

The hotel doesn't have enough free car parking space.

The view, the breakfast, the cleanses

Really clean and well kept. Superb location, you can ski straight to the lift. Great breakfast even for a non-vegan.

Spacious rooms, very comfortable beds, welcoming balconies, beautiful solid wood floors. Excellent breakfast. perfect location for ski (no need to move the car or walk, you start from the hotel).

The rooms need some more accurate equipment: hooks on the wall for the jackets, a stool for the desk, an additional shower head the be positioned a different heights. Extra cost for the spa is disappointing.

Breakfast didn´t contain any vegetables at all. But thanks to the wonderful staff, the lady organised sallad (just for me) every day.

The hotel is beautiful, and the staff is delightful. They speak English well - if that would be important for you. Also, the ski rental place is close and they give you discount if you stay at Ellex hotel. The super small grocery store is also close. It takes about a 3-5 minute walk to reach the ski lifts. My only issue was with the breakfast: it is a very nice buffet breakfast with really lots of choices, BUT they serve you only one plate of meat (sausage or ham), and if you want to eat something salty other than cheese, then you have only omelette options. Also, there are no vegetables at all! At one point I bought my own tomatoes at the aforementioned grocery store. But if you eat only sweet stuff for breakfast then you will love the place. As I said, other than these two tiny issues I had no problem with the other, or with the breakfast. So I can recommend it to anyone. One more thing: my view from the balcony was amazing at the mountains, so the location of the hotel is another extra.

Tschaval is a quiet resort with spectacular scenery and well serviced by ski lifts

the hot tub in the SPA had so much chlorine that still smells on our skins after 3 showers. She the water wasn’t even very hot.the steam bath also not very hot.we had to pay extra for the SPA where, at the booking, it seemed included in the fee!
