Pros +

  • Comfortable bed and very quiet. Breakfast was okay.
  • The hotel has a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels like visiting family. The staff is friendly, the rooms are spotless, and the views from the rooms are breathtaking.
  • literally everything I liked at this place!Staff (mostly I've dealt with the owner), are very friendly and despite the lack of english- will help you with everything you need. The room is clean and cozy, beautiful view of the Mont Blanc area.Bathroom is big enough, great shower.Usual Italian style- there's a bidet beside the toilet, very convenient :-)All clean and cleaned everyday, I even had to ask not to clean the room because didn't use any facilities at some days :-)Breakfast served from 8am till 9:30am, just inform the staff in advance. And be ready for small, continental breakfast, nothing fancy but coffee!...Any conversations can be made through Google translate, the lack of English language will be very well compensated by genuine wish to help the guests!I personally highly recommend to stay at this hotel, just one bus stop from Courmayeur (approximately 7 minutes ride down the road), it's way cheaper than in the town itself, very quiet area (actually, it's worth to discover the village itself, you literally find yourself in the real 18th century Italian village- outstanding feeling!)

Cons -

  • I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the hallway lights so it seemed really dark and gloomy of a place. It was difficult to find, even with a GPS.
  • The only one negative thing about this hotel:No lunch or dinner provided at this place. There is a canteen and dining area right beside the main building, but no possibility to have a dinner/ supper.Keep this in mind and bring your own, ready to eat or dehydrated food. You can ask the owner or staff to supply you with boiled water and consume in the small dining room (as we did), but no hot food can be ordered at the hotel. That's really sad because a lot of climbers/ mountaineers could come and stay there.I really wish that this issue will be solved soon coz would love to visit and stay at this hotel again soon...
  • No coffee making facilities. At breakfast, no coffee machine for clients had to wait 30 minutes for my coffee to come. Staff were obviously busy and working hard. A coffee machine or flasks of hot water, could have solved this problem. At breakfast, I would rather have decent coffee, quickly then excellent coffee, slowly. No eggs, breakfast was too sweet for my taste.

Location lovely peaceful village. Nice room with balcony and view.

No coffee making facilities. Very nice surrounding, overlooking the village of PRe-Saint Didier, under the local mountain. Clean Rooms with adequate space for a very basic accomodation, without anything special.

Insufficient breakfast, not as a buffet but strightly served on the table with absolutely the minimum, charged for 6€. One-two slices of bread, butter croissant, some ajm and nutella.

The view from the room was perfect, the mountains and snow. Room was cozy and warm, staff are agreeable and helping.

The wall was a little bit thin, so you could hear your neighbors flushing the toilet. A little bit far away from restaurants and shops, need to have a car to reach them.

Great room and breakfast

No restaurant or bar out of season

Price of the place for the location is fair, though you do need to plan your day based on the bus timetable from Courmayeur.

The breakfast offering was terrible so advised not to take it. Service during breakfast was non-existent and odd (eg the server did not bother to refill the near empty bowls of cereals, she also picked food and ate directly from the counter…)

Most rooms have a view of the mountains, which is absolutely stunning! Also, very short bus journey away from Courmayeur! Bus runs every hours (during the summer anyway)

10KarinaPosted on: 9-9-2023

Beautiful views of the mountain from the room, really nice staff and only one bus stop away from Courmayer!

Nice location and nice view

The window was either fully closed or fully open - during the night I struggled if I should keep it open or closed for safety reasons (not only human but also insects)

8RasaPosted on: 8-14-2023

There was no wide wide selection - just croissants, some bread and sweet marmelades. We've asked for natural yogurt - so the waitress brought it. By the way - croissant were just wonderfull :)

There is no fridge in the room, no cups or glasses.

Location location location!Views to die for.Friendly, welcoming staff.Great breakfast.Quiet.

8BarbaraPosted on: 7-30-2023

The hotel is in a quaint village at 10 driving minutes from Courmayeur with a wide car parking. All rooms have a balcony, mountain view and comfortable beds. Super clean and full-equipment bathrooms. The staff is friendly, helpful and the croissants, at the breakfast, are warm.

Amazing staff, very friendly, very helpful! Felt like home! Great spot by the river, amazing views and little town. Perfect location for reaching other destinations as well. Well connected with busses. Highly recommend!

Nothing at all.

7MariagraziaPosted on: 5-9-2023

The room was clean

The location is not central. You need a car for everything. The furniture are very dated.

9PatrickPosted on: 4-10-2023

Great location and wonderful view. Very helpful and friendly staff. Big parking.

8SaraPosted on: 2-27-2023

The room has the right spaces and it has a balcony with an amazing view on the mountains. Waking up with that view was the best thing. We enjoyed the breakfast with few but very good quality products.

The only thing I would suggest is to put in new beds because the ones that were in our room were time-worn in shape

7AlessioPosted on: 2-12-2023

The room was good size and nice Mountain View. little bit dated but the bed was conformable. Breakfast was very good

Our room wasn’t soundproof. We could hear any noise coming from the room beside ours, from the toilet flush from conversations. This avoid us from having a good night sleep.

location , cleanliness, staff friendly, mountain view

what I found strange and I didn’t really liked was that i had to leave the room key at the reception every single time when we need to go out, easy someone else can grab that key from the reception box specially when often nobody is at the reception. I understand that we can go on trust but it’s a no for me :)also when back I experience too long time waiting for someone at the reception to hand over my room key, specially when in a hurry
