Stonetrail

Pros +

• Unit was not a villa, but a suite within a two storey building. Kitchen was well equipped but lacked a few essentials as well as a dining table with chairs. Difficult to self-cater without a car as there were no nearby food stores. Excellent restaurant 10 minute walk out to the point (La Vue). Can also walk to Villa Beach along the beach (with a slight uphill section along a side street) where there are several hotel restaurants. Beach there is however quite ugly. Best part of staying at Stonetrail was the staff. Melissa, especially, was very helpful and friendly.
• The houses are a nice concept, and the owner invested a lot in guests' comfort. To some extent, it is an oasis in one completely poorly governed country.
• The environment was welcoming, my 3year old loved playing outside. It was like a home away from home. Staff were so nice and accommodating! Oh and the beach was literally a 2minutes walk with a 3yr old,

Cons -

• Lack of a restaurant. Would have preferred a stand-alone villa. Closest beach was too rough and rocky for swimming.
• If you like to walk it is a little adventurous. People on the island are the kindest of the all Caribbean countries I visited, but the neighborhood is not easily and nicely walkable.
• Mmm hard to say, the lack of a power gate. That would have been the perfect touch. But even that was not an issue, great place to stay
