Hotel Zur alten Stadtkellerei Leipzig

The hotel itself was nice and both the room and bathroom were clean. The room was larger than I expected and the staff were friendly and helpful.

They advertise having an electric vehicle charger and charged €15 for parking with charging. However what they actually provide is only a regular 230V wall socket. After more than 10 hours of charging we gained only about 20% battery. Paying €15 for that was very expensive. Public street charging would have been much cheaper and faster...

Neighbourhood... Surrounding buildings full of graffiti, windows broken, abandoned buildings. Was a bit sceptical when we arrived if this was the correct address.

Bad location. no buffet breakfast!

I liked the staff, speciallly Amin was very helpful. The staff was always smiling. They cleaned the room everyday. Free coffee and tea was very nice !

The rooms could be a little bit larger and also an elevator would be appreciated. Again the staff helped us to take our baggages downstairs , but an elevator can easily solve this problem.

Great thing was that I could make myself coffee and tee during all Day until 20,00 for free, and I payed only bed & breakfast. I loved moments when I was able to make myself great espresso and drink it on the top of the hotel in fresh air. Staff was great and friendly, recommended us where we can eat near hotel and in that part of town. I will definitly stay there next time I visit Leipzig.

On the edge of the city center we found a clean hotel with very friendly personnel. Clean, quiet and good breakfast (not buffet). Approximately 10 minutes walk we found a nice restaurant with good food (Luther....)

Big room with a huge bed.

Noise from the road, techno music all evening, from 21 to 24 and later. And all this despite my request to put me in a quiet room.The hotel provided only a small blanket for a single person, and for me it was too small. Reception closes early so you can't solve it. Location - in the main and noisy street. You have only a tram in 10 minutes walk.

We have experienced several multi-night stays at Hotel zur alten Stadtkellerei Leipzig and have always been pleased. As with previous stays, our room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and spacious enough, and the wifi worked well. On this stay, we didn't take breakfast. We did take advantage of free coffee and make use of the free parking.

The hotel has a period charm. It is reached by a short tram ride from the central station.

The hotel is located in a run down area that it is in the process of being rejuvenated. New businesses are starting up.

We have stayed at Hotel zur alten Stadtkellerei Leipzig several times. As with previous stays, we were pleased with our stay. The price was reasonable; our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable; and the wifi worked well. This time, we didn't take breakfast, which we have found to be quite good in the past.

We didn't like the setup in the bathroom (room 14).

I liked the unusual building and the free tea and coffee.

The area was both good and bad. A bit of an old industrial area "behind" the (enormous) station. So some travellers might not like it. But I actually found it unusual and fascinating, if mildly inconvenient. Some of the old buildings around there (including the hotel) were solidly built and grand-- from a different era.

A small hotel in a quiet place. Parking near the hotel, the room is big enough. Friendly staff. The breakfast was gorgeous! When we checked in, we were offered to mark exactly what we wanted to eat, so everything was fresh and very tasty for breakfast. In addition, fresh croissants were baked for us at our request. For which we are very grateful.

App. 20 minutes by wall to city center and ZOO. Breakfast was nice, not bufet type but still choice of food was good.

Nothing about accomodation itself but it would be very useful to put note that Leipzig is in Green zone and if you drive by car you need to get this green sticker before your arrival. We had to leave car in P+R parking and go with luggages by tram to the hotel.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast wasn't buffet, but much and tasty :)The hotel is family and child friendly, for example with toys in the breakfast room.There's always free coffee and hot drinks available.

The 'basic' room for two person, we ordered, was disappointing, especially the bathroom. The towel holder is loose on the the wall, the shower curtain was old and not up to date anymore and even after carefully showering the whole bath was flooded.Generally the room really was basic.

Location really good, very good room size. Good breakfast!

The room was reasonably big, even after putting the (hotel-provided) baby bed. The dining room had a small children's corner.

The bathroom was veery small. Impossible to use the toilet without having legs inside the shower. The location is rather industrial, so not a nice walk to reach the city center (but a convenient tram stops nearby).
