Excellent location and staff. Newer accommodations and good breakfast.

Nothing really. It was pricier than normal due to Xmas market season, but that’s to be expected for all hotels during this period.

9 minute walk from the train station and you're staying in the heart of downtown, right next to a church and 10 minutes from the biggest landmarks in town

Location was excellent. The room was very quite and the staff were friendly.

There was no kettle for hot water in the room, but otherwise I have no complaints.

Not a lot of room in the rooms -- "seating area" was really only a chair. Could use something to serve as surface for holding our suitases to use them (other than the bed).

I beleive water should be free at the hotel, at least it should not cost 5 EURs. It is infair to charge a person 5 EUR at night just because everything is closed and there is no other way out

The hotel is located right in the centre, so is very convenient, and the bar staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and of a good size and the bed was comfortable.

Upon our arrival we were told that we would not be able to store our bikes in our room despite there being no mention of this online. We were of the assumption that if a hotel allows pets then a clean bike should not be an issue. Being told that we were not able to was not a problem, but the unfriendly, unapolagetic and dismissive way that the staff approached this was very disappointing. We offered to pay a deposit in case of any damage, and offered to use covers or protection in the room to avoid any damage. These suggestions were quickly rejected with a smug shrug of the shoulders. Eventually a courtyard was offered where we could lock our bikes which we saw as less than ideal, but better than nothing. As mentioned, it's not the lack of bike storage which was the issue here, which should be mentioned in the listing arguably, but the way that staff reacted to our question with such disdain and derision.

I usually stay in Motel One in various cities because it is always clean, comfortable, and a good experience overall. In Leipzig it was very nice and the location is perfect.

Value for money for the breakfast isn't that great.. it can be a bit cheaper for what is provided

Perfekt and central location, comfortable bed, quiet room, very good service.

I overlooked St. Nicholai Church and it was thrilling! (The peace demonstrations here helped reunite Germany.) The central location in the Alte Stadt was perfect for Oper Leipzig, Gewandhaus, the main train station, lots of lovely shops and restaurants. I happened to be their during their fall festival which added lots of fun. The music was awesome - on the street and in the churches - all very reasonably priced and outstanding value. Leipzig is exciting and there is much more to explore (the waterway, museums, etc.) so I'll be back and stay at this Motel One! I appreciate the sustainabiity pursuit of these properties. Bravo Motel One.
