Hotel Carl von Clausewitz

A nice family hotel, in a good location not too far from the highway, clean and comfortable rooms, generous breakfast and very nice owners and staff. We highly recommend this hotel!

Very clean apartment, enough space for 4 grown up people. The receptionist was very kind and helpful, he gave us very good advices how to combine the public transportation to the stadium. Very affordable breakfast.

Location is very good. Small room with bathroom. Beautiful facility with a garden and parking place. Restaurant was very good, I loved breakfast. Staff was so nice and friendly.

Nice friendly people. Nice outside Terrasse to sit. Clean, perfect for 1 or 2 nights.

The rooms in the hotel were cold, the heating was not on upon arrival and it took quite a while to get the rooms comfortable.Radiators heating switched of during the night, this made rooms cold again.The Wifi was really poor, on and off.The room did not have any coffee or tea, however it had kettle...There was no shampoo only shower gel. When we asked for shampoo, we were given another shower gel instead of shampoo. This might however been a genuine mistake.Communication was only in German.

Great value, near to LE.

Not a complaint but it’s not in LE so you should have a car. Breakfast was “ok”

Located in a small and quite village near Leipzig (probably considered a part of Leipzig) with direct connection from Leipzig Hbf. At the time we were there it was snowing and locality looked lovely. The room was actually more equipped than we hoped for, everything was as described. The check-in was contact less and very comfortable.

Not something bad, maybe just a note, in winter it would be good to have some place where we can put wet shoes to not have it on the floor (maybe there was and we just didn't find it)

The Location was perfect right where I needed to be, the parking area was roomy , breakfast was excellent, and the room was roomy, clean and quite. Hotel staff were helpful and it was easy to gain access to the key.

We took family room, so sleeping room ( with perfect bed) and couch in living room, which was a bit uncomfortable for sleeping, but otherwise everything ok, very cosy place

A very nice breakfast and very comfy big bed.The parking was secure and the location near the motorway suited us well. The owner was very kind and helpful. We loved the full size mannequin of a doorman in full uniform although I am glad I didn't need to take the dog out during the night and pass it!

The shower room was showing its age

Very close to main maine road, easy acces, very clean and comfy beds.

It was the worst experience ive had in booking a stay. The hotel was not cleaned and no staff in the property at night.

When we arrive there was no staff in the property since it was at 10pm already. They just left the keys in the keybox which is fine. What was disappointing when we arrived at the property the room that they gave us was a mess and it looks like it was not cleaned from the last guest. The whole place doesnt have much light and looks scary. Like you lirerally entered an abandoned place that was not cleaned. Messaged the property and notified them about the room but the owner or maybe the staff who answered was rude. We ended up getting out again and booked another hotel in the city middle of the night.

I will not come again

I have made my reservation several months in advance. I have asked to be on the first floor. I got an answer that it was OK. I have arrived late at night and found that I was on the second floor with very difficult stairs! The owner was too busy to answer any of my phone calls or messages or phone calls since he was too busy preparing his birthday. Later at night we could not sleep since he had put a very loud music under our window

Friendly staff. Despite arriving really late, we could still get in using a keybox with a code. The room was nice, beds were comfy. There was a fridge, so we could use it to store some food.

The lady accidentally charged us for the room twice (we payed upfront with PayPal and she misread that and thought we still had to pay). But they payed the money back within a day, so all ended well.

Very nice and clean property. Suited us well on our one night stay in the middle of the long drive. There's nice shop and bakery just down the road if someone wants some lovely German products (beer, sausages, pastries). I haven't tried breakfast but it looked tempting. Nice staff.

Nothing to put here. Perhaps, the window coming out on the main street, which was a bit loud in the morning but honestly, not a big deal.

The hotel is close to the autobahn and if you need an overnight stay this is a good choice. The room was clean and the bed ok. There are a few different food places and shops nearby.I think it was worth the money, I could imagine staying here again on a pass through.

We stayed in room no. 13, which has windows directly onto the street, where the traffic was sometimes quite disturbing, especially early in the morning. I don't give 10/10 because we had a rather strange smell in the room that could not be located. The building is quite old so maybe it was only in this room.....

Perfect place for one night stand, close to highway. Free parking. Great!

Very nice hotel and very friendly staff. We had a quite spacious and light room. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is good, but venoiserie are missing. Next to the hotel there are two restaurants. The hotel is 20 minutes by car to the city center.

The door to the shower was rather high and too tight. Difficult to get inside.

Everything was great ! We had late check in without anyproblems , room was clean and prepared perfect with all basics we needed. Very calm and cozy place with option for breakfast! Quick answers and very friendly staff. It was the first and definately not the last time!
