Pros +

  • The location
  • This is a very unique experience to be on a private boat in a very special Anse in Martinique

Cons -

  • We were not made aware that the oven from the pictures is not available for use. We had purchased items to cook in the oven and when we arrived our host Oliver explained that he disabled the oven because previous guests had let something burn inside the oven being careless. We did not see how former guests had anything to do with us and we ended up throwing away some of the food items we had bought since we could not cook them on the stovetop. Furthermore, Oliver let us know we could use the food already on the boat however it was all infested with bugs. I even tried to cook and an unopened packet of rice left on the boat, however, while eating the rice my girlfriend found small cooked white bugs in the rice which ruined her appetite. Also, we were limited in which windows we could open and during the first night we had heavy rain and could not open the widows making the boat extremely hot and neither of us could sleep, the boat has a fan system that we were not allowed to use. In addition, the bed and pillows are old and not comfortable, I was not able to sleep much during the stay
