    Pros +

    • The hotel was great. It is a smaller hotel than the grand entrance would suggest. Very quaint and comfortable. The staff was very nice and accommodating and the breakfast was also nice. Our dog enjoyed it as well!
    • Maybe the expectations were high after reading all reviews, but we have been to similar hotels in Piedmont that were 4 stars and feel this hotel was not as good. The biggest asset is that the hotel is located in the beautiful town of Monforte d Alba.Breakfast was very good and service in the morning was impeccable.
    • Everything! Unique and beautiful setting and location, very welcoming and friendly staff,an excellent place to relax after a day out in the Langhe. Rooms with beautiful view and a delicious breakfast. We had a great time!

    Cons -

    • This is minor thing since everyone seems to figure it out after getting there is the pool area and size of the area to be able to lounge comfortably. It's not the fault of the hotel, but you just have to be prepared for a tight space for the sun loungers. I would not recommend kids.
    • Our room was on ground floor and we could hear breakfast preparation in the morning and people having breakfast. We didn't feel like five stars guests. The hotel restaurant is 6 minutes walk in the village. Basically the hotel doesn't have a restaurant on location. I don't care they have the same owner. I wish I knew that before, because some days after walking or biking all day, you just want to have a quick diner at the hotel. There is a minimal bar service in the evening, but very limited as the bar is attended by the person at reception desk who as well attend parking and if you need anything at the pool.Pool is small ( more than 3 people inside it felt crowded) with long chairs spaced by less than 10 cm. You could not move the umbrellas or long chairs, so you don't have much shade some part of the day.
    • Limited number of parking spaces. Restaurant Moda difficult accessible for people that have limited mobility. The restaurant has a beautiful setting and is very charming. We had however expected more of our dinner.

Stunning interior design. Perfect location, quite but walking distance to town centre/restaurants/cafes.The staff has been really helpful even prior our visit, helping us plan our stay. Very friendly and went great lengths to help us with the logistics on our last day!

Amazing location. Amazing view. Amazing restaurant.

    The gate didn’t function consistently

A beautiful hotel, very well located, great views from the pool area. An original and pleasant type of sauna. Friendly staff. Free parking.

They claim to have a restaurant. They don't: the Moda is a walk away on the other side of a busy street; it's not even the closest restaurant to the hotel. They may be associated to that restaurant, but it is in no sense "the hotel restaurant".The staff were unable to help us with hiking, though this is listed as one of the hotel's activities. Instead, we were referred to the tourist office; it was closed for management change. We stayed during beautiful hot weather, so we looked forward to the pool. Alas, the water was so glacial that it was close to unusable.

great location in the heart of Piemonte in most beautiful surroundings, great a’la carte breakfast

    8AndréPosted on: 5-8-2023

    Very nice view

If everything is right, then it is a very nice hotel. Unfortunately, when we checked in, we were offered a room facing the backyard. Very incomprehensible, since rooms with a view were unoccupied and the hotel was almost empty. Only upon request we were offered a room with a view. In addition, parking in front of the hotel is only possible after multiple requests. All in all, not very guest friendly.

Excellent hotel in a beautiful location. We will return. Great service, breakfast, restaurant recommendation etc. Perfect! Very dog friendly to.

    10BenjaminPosted on: 4-29-2023

Breakfast was really, really delicious with lots of options and excellent service. The location was incredible. I couldn't believe the views of the alps from our second floor room.

    Nothing it was fantastic.

    10NicolePosted on: 4-14-2023

The hotel was delightful from start to finish, from the warm welcome of the staff, thoughtful touches in the room and common areas, to wonderful views from the terrace and pool area, excellent breakfast and unexpected parting gift. I would come back in a minute.

    9OliviaPosted on: 4-10-2023

Staff were helpful and lovely. View from room was great, nice spacious balcony.

Bathroom was a little bit squashy as there was a pillar in the middle of it. Not really something that can be fixed though! That aside, we really enjoyed the property and would definitely stay again!

    5UnknownPosted on: 10-31-2022

    room was comfortable and clean

rude staff with basic knowledge of English and no willingness to serve, mediocre room service, poor breakfast at an extraordinary price

    9ChristinaPosted on: 10-20-2022

location , beautiful villa and panoramic views

    10IrinaPosted on: 10-8-2022

Beautiful property, amazing design. i loved the details. Nice breakfast a la carte. The restaurant in town is also amazing, good food in a spectacular place. Beautiful sunsets on our own terrace. the staff is so friendly and helpful. you feel like home imediately.

    The pillows from the bed.

The cleaning, location and the pool.

Some of the personal was not so serviceminded. They could only serve 3 rooms at the same time under breakfast because they wouldn’t have more than one person working under breakfast. It would be great if they could have fresh Italian bread on the breakfast.

    6KatherinePosted on: 6-24-2022

    beautiful location

The general feeling of lack of warmth and generosity so obvious at most of our other location. Room lacked facilities and breakfast was not included.
