Best Western Hotel Geheimer Rat

I enjoyed that the property is not near a bus line, S-Bahn or Main train station. I visit Magdeburg twice a week for work and thought this would be a good place to stay when I was too tired to travel back home.

I was extremely disappointed in the WiFi connection. I stayed in room 24 . The connection dropped out every 5 -8 minutes. I had to just give up using the WiFi at some point due to this inconvenience. It’s sad when I am able to get a more stable connection on. DB Regional train that is a moving target . But I am not able to connect or function at all at a hotel for over 100 euros a night. The room was also too cold even with the radiator turned up to 5.

As I was visiting for business for me location was the most important as well as privacy, so I requested higher floor not on the main street and far from elevator and that's was perfect. The decoration is very unique with all the cinema theme though a bit outdated. I haven't expected such a great breakfast, really 5 star choice. Main entertainment was pancake and Nutella machine which made me feel like a kid. What a delicious bread in Germany!

two Single beds instead of one double and same about duvet cover but it's very common in Germany. Also wifi is slow

Very friendly, helpful staff, secure parking for bicycles, nice lobby and public spaces, free coffee machine in lobby, very good breakfast, nice location in quiet, residential neighborhood.

Breakfast was average, hotel could do with a update. Not alot of eating places close by, but then it was a Monday night and alot of venues were closed.

Good location with locked garage parking if you need to keep your vehicle secure.

Trying to figure out if they have a garage and book a parking space was very difficult in English. The receptionist answering the phone dropped the call 4 times after not understanding the question.Had to go and expect to get a space in a garage.

The location of the property was in a quiet little neighbourhood. The staff were very friendly and supportive. Room was clean and well maintained.

Hotel was easy to find in Magdeburg. Luckily a parking space just got available on the street. We were there just for sleeping and brakfast before next leg on our trip. Very comfortable hotel and friendly and helpful.

Was good with a long walk downtown after a day in the car, but still, slightly too far from city centre.

It was quick unplanned stay, so we appreciated the reception works 24/7. Very good hotel in a quiet surrounding.

Delightful location in a leafy suburb. Large room with separate alcove with desk and chair. Kettle and cups in room (but no English tea). Free coffee machine in reception. Excellent breakfast. Free car park.

No air conditioning. Hotel description includes "Mediterranean restaurant" but it doesn't have a restaurant!

This is the place to stay! We had asked for a lift in the Hotel and they had one. Parking of the street, yes. Breakfast was exceptional! Clyde Barton

The kind of hotel you always hope for. All the whistles and bells. Very friendly stuff. Good breakfast. Great location (greenest part of Magdeburg).

The parking garage has an extremely narrow entrance, and a fully loaded car will scrap the ground at the start of the steep slope downwards.

Old hotel, definitely required renovation. But anyway very comfortable. No AC. Old furniture.

Absolutely amazing staff. We felt very welcomed and were impressed with how friendly and helpful the lady at the reception desk was.Also, impressing choice of food for breakfast, including freshly baked buns.

Only one thing: both bedside lamps can be only switched on or of simultaneously, which is a bit inconvenient when one person wants to read a bit longer in the night and the other wants to sleep.
