Motel One Magdeburg

The location is excellent, right on Domplatz near Magdeburg Cathedral. The WiFi is good. The bed is wide and the mattress is comfortable.Месторасположение отличное прямо на Домплац возле магдебургского собора. Хороший вайфай. Кровать широкая и матрац удобный.

What I didn't like: The room is small and narrow. To get to the window, you have to walk sideways to avoid hitting the TV. There are no simple drinking glasses, no kettle, and no safe in the room. The reservation says there's a "work desk." Forgive me, but it's not a work desk, but some kind of stand (I'll post a photo of this "work desk"). It also says there's toilet paper in the room. Question: aren't you ashamed to write this? It would be bad if there wasn't toilet paper in the room. Thankfully, there is paper. Maybe they gave us the wrong room? Regarding the restaurant and breakfast: we came to the restaurant at 7 a.m. because we had to leave early. The restaurant (main hall) is dark, and it's hard to see the breakfast items. I have poor eyesight, and it was hard for me to choose my breakfast in the dim light. The tables are small and round, with chairs or armchairs nearby, making it uncomfortable to sit and have breakfast because... There was room on the table for 2-3 plates, and my wife and I kept moving the plates around so that they were accessible to me and then to my wife. There was no room for coffee glasses on these tables. After breakfast, we saw a second room with normal tables, but we had already "eaten breakfast." Overall, we were disappointed with this hotel. P.S. We were in Germany for 9 days and stayed in 7 hotels. We were disappointed with this one. That same day, we went to Berlin and also stayed at the Motel One Berlin-Alexanderplatz. Although they are part of the Motel One chain, the atmosphere in Berlin is completely different: there are glasses in the room (albeit disposable ones), a safe, and a larger room.

It was a business trip. I forgot to ask for the invoice at the reception desk. And them later 3 days after my stay there was no responce to mail requests for the invoice. The phone was not replied. I have sent email with invoice requests 5 times and there was no reaction.

Rooms were quite warm-prefer them a little cooler.

Breakfast: we waited for 20 (!) minutes in a cue to be seated. The bar and lounge are not suitable for breakfast at all. The fourniture is not comfy for having breakfast, it is a lounge place to hang out in the evening.

The location is excellent. You are right in the middle of town with all shopping and eating facilities around you. eBike storage available though the accessibility is precarious and accident prone.

Very small rooms and doors. You really get the feeling that they tried to squeeze as many rooms as possible in. For this price, I would have at least expected a small continental breakfast to be included.

This motel is truly amazing, very welcoming, clean and in a great location. The beds are very comfortable, simple and delicious breakfast in the morning and super welcoming and polite staff.

The design of the Motel 1 group is modern and innovative.Friendly service at the reception. Unfriendly service at the bar, not professional. Overworked? Inexperienced or not qualified?

Perfect localisation. I went there by bicycle. There was a basement for bicycles, big plus! Nice lounge with good beers and gins. Decent breakfast, not the most diverse, but ok, I did not expect more.
