- Nice staffGood locationIn a nice town
- Central location, friendly and helpfull staff, colonial era solid built hotel, good climate and noise insulation.
Cons -
- A comfy armchair would have been great to have. The TV could have been on the wall. I needed to use my laptop and there was no space to put the laptop. There could have been more powe points that were easily accessible.
- Room not quite cleaned properly
- No lifts so carrying bags to second floorbar not open till 5 and no bar in roof top area so needed to carry drinks up 4 flights stairs.Room was small. No chairs to sit in. Shower was a step in plastic pod.

Great location
Broken window with hole so very noisy night with the wind. Very dirty windows and ledge, lots of spider webs.
Location was in town, excellent short drive to beach.Walked to breakfast cafeBed was amazingbeautiful quiet
Television was not in good position and was not facing the bed or lounge, but the wall, very hard to watch.Tiny shower
Great Hotel - historicGreat StaffExcellent Location
All good
It is grandiose and has some old world charm and character. Also super central.
We arrived on NYD and our room had rubbish and empty alcohol containers / glasses under the bed and behind the fridge. The bathroom / tea & coffee items did not appear to have been restocked and the place was quite dusty
The building itself and location
Bar not open no food
Gorgeous old worldly heritage property in a great location. Rooms were very comfortable and quiet, beds were soooo comfortable and the blockout curtains were a treat. Bathroom was dated but very clean and serves the purpose fine. We had a balcony that I’d definitely recommend. Lovely place to sit on a warm day.
Couldn’t fault it. Car park was a bit tricky to access until we knew how, but all good.
Last minute booking during peak season. Great location. Clean room. Comfy bed.
Beautiful historic property. Well priced over Xmas period. Great restaurant and bar.Room was adequate with bar fridge, kettle generous sized room.
We had tea at the hotel the first night which was very good & several drinks in the lounge area.
I can't think of anything, as a family all went well, the stairs may have been a problem for some.
We love the building itself - such beautiful architecture and features. We also love the communal sitting areas, especially the downstairs front sitting area.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They even bought our dinner upstairs. They were very helpful. Also the hotel location was pretty good. Most restaurants were nearby so we didn't have to walk far.
It was a bit pricey considering there weren't kitchen facilities. Other than that it was a great weekend for us.
The old world atmosphere gave the impression of stepping back to the uncomplicated and slower pace of the past - perfect for instant relaxation. Our room faced the courtyard, where I sat with a book and a coffee each afternoon. Queenscliff town provide the best place to stroll and discover boutique shops, restaurants, cafes, art galleries and a superb book shop.
Location. Central to everything
The bathroom was very outdated, in particular the area around the sink was some sort of varnished wood that was peeling and lifting in several areas. Unhygienic when so many people stay there as it is impossible to clean properly. Also there was no exhaust fan.Staff only "serviced" our room once during our 3 night stay - our choice, and all they did was make the bed and empty the only bin in the room. No change of towels etc.The balcony area was tired. There were bird droppings everywhere and the couch/chairs were uncomfortable and dated. When I dropped the keys off at reception at the end of the stay, there was no enquiry about how our stay was just a "thanks for staying with us" like they couldn't care less.
Lovely ambience in a turn of the century hotel. Fixtures & fittings made for a very old-worlde atmosphere particularly in the public areas. Room was comfortable, quite roomy & quiet. Positioned well in the shopping precinct for convenience.
This is a very old hotel which has gone through some refurbishing due to a fire event & age-related wear. It is probably time for some repairs here & there, but you have to look closely to see the need. The lack of dining & bar facilities was unfortunate however was a known seasonal close-down & not a criticism. Car parking was less than optimal with the rear carpark unlit & with less than secure access. Street parking was the alternative & worked okay given good street lighting. Unfortunately the power board & access to a power point for all things (TV, Jug, Fridge etc) could have been a better arrangement.
Kate - owner - extraordinarily welcoming and efficient
