Close proximity to main street. Lovely food and food service/bar service staff. Nice pool area although bar not open at 4pm on a Monday which is contrary to advertised times.

Room looked directly out to the staff car park which you couldn't see on any online photos and not stated anywhere.Twin room only one luggage holder and one outdoor chair. Unable to get another outdoor chair had to take a wooden dining chair.Tablet was flat and was told I was unable to order in room dining by phone when I called "in room dining" number (picked up by reception desk) so I had to go to the downstairs bar to order a meal. Downstairs bar staff were apologetic and helpful.No pool bar open so the lovely bar concierge downstairs offered to run upstairs to get a plastic cup to serve my drink in and then I could take that upstairs but I didn't think it was fair on him, so I took my drink outside to the outdoor eating area.Check in / out service not friendly or welcoming.Room was very small and not enough space in bathroom for two people to put their things.Acknowledge that these are minor things on their own, but put together it does not equate to almost $800 per night. Have had much better rooms at less than half the price.Mentioned when checking out so that bad review was not a shock to them. They told me they would let management know. I waited a week but had no feedback or contact.Only received an email apology after I completed their survey.

Styling of the hotel lovely with an Italian riviera vibe. Excellent location right in town. Pool level delightful for a cocktail. Ocean view nice and room very comfortable, a little luxe and very clean. Ember restaurant excellent food and service. Will definitely return.

Only negative is the breakfast restaurant lack of service. Tables are not cleared and dirty dishes remain on tables while staff ignore them and generally lack attentiveness to guests needs, disappointing for an IHG Hotel.

Nice and clean

The room was to small. We received a room with ocean view but unfortunately the bed was against the view .

Great place. Clean, modern, feels new and fresh, a bit quirky and modern. Lots of great restaurants on site. Great rooftop pool. Friendly and attentive staff. Amazing breakfast.

No dedicated space for hotel guests to go in evening without prebooking. We tried to get a drink one night and were told by each restaurant on site that they were fully booked. It left us with no where to go within the hotel itself when we were staying there which didn’t feel right for such a nice place. Maybe one more relaxed, walk in bar is the solution? Or maybe the hotels on site should have tables set aside for hotel guests that can walk in without issue. Rooftop pool seems like a missed opportunity in evenings. We went up there at 6pm one night and it was closing. Sun hadn’t even set yet. Get a DJ in, keep the bar open etc? So much potential up there that isn’t fully maximised.

Staff service was absolutely appalling. We booked 7 rooms for our family and couldn’t be more disappointed in the service we received. This appears to be a 5 star hotel with 2 star service. Rooms were noisy constantly heard people outside the door. Could hear the TV from the room next to us at midnight.

- Great location - amazing staff - delicious breakfast buffet- bed and pillows super comfortable - room was very clean and had everything you needed - lovely spa products - very responsive room service We travel often and would highly recommend this hotel.

- please improve bed linen- it was absolutely awful and literally the only downside of our entire stay - proper doona’s and real bed linen would elevate the room to match every other aspect of the stay.

Good variety for f food options

Light system & Shower shelf .In room , could not work out how to have bedside lights to come on off when switching to bedtime mode it seems to be all or nothing .Shower shelf should have been put on other side of shower head itself as when you go to use the shampoo / body wash your arm elbow hits it all the time …. Looks good design but architects need to use the shower themselves to see this design fail.

The intercontinental is a very nice hotel, rooms are comfortable and the facilities all very good, but it’s the staff that are a standout, friendly & helpful, always with a smile.

A few too many gadgets, especially for older guests, tv not easy to connect.

Close to town and surrounding area. Beautiful hotel, with excellent service and helpful staff.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property.

Not quite sure about the balcony! It was definitely not inviting in fact the complete opposite and claustrophobic Any wonder there wasn’t a picture on the website as you look out to walls and buildings

Our room was too small and we have no view from our room as the windows were covered. Disappointing .More variety available for breakfast and making toasting bread more quickly.Overall we were happy with our stay. Staff very friendly.
