Scamander Tourist Park

It was a 2 bedroom cabin in a caravan park but it was one of the better ones we've stayed in, good set out, clean,warm and tidy with all we needed.

Basic accommodation at a good price. Cabin was very clean.

Camp internet was very unreliable, almost unusable

It was clean, cozy, and all the amenities we needed, plus more. The staff was also so accommodating and friendly, it was a great place!

It would have been nice to have wifi inside the cabins, but that isn¿t really a necessity

The area and the staff

The smell of bleach when I arrived. I am whs trained and there is no need to use bleach. The tv had no channels, smart tv would be much better. Heat pump was impossible to use and no instructions in the room. Full free wifi should be available everywhere.

Very friendly staff, great budget price.

Good value for having our one place with a kitchen.

The exterior lock was broken. We reported it. It was not repaired the next day. No security during this time.

Location was great our cabin was fully equipped with everything you need my bed was warm and comfortable plenty of coffee and tea and the good kind ?

Honestly couldn’t fault anything except maybe the bedspreads could be a bit more modern

The park offered little in the way of facilities, however, the cabin we stayed in was clean and comfortable. Perfect for our overnight stay enroute from the Bay Of Fires to Launceston. There is a supermarket, chemist and service station conveniently located next door. Despite being on the main road, noise was not an issue. Highly recommend the River Mouth Cafe just down the road.

Cabin was small but clean and comfortable. Walking distance to the beach and we could even see the ocean from the room! It was very peaceful and the cabins felt private.

The wifi didn't work at all, many laundry machines were out of order but it didn't affect us as we were still able to get the laundry we needed to get done

Laundry was filthy. Shower was dripping continuously. Dirt roads. On quite a slope.

spotlessly clean. Spacious living area with a 2 seat recliner lounge that was super comfortable. Kitchen had a full stove so could heat up dinner in the oven (or microwave). Shower pressure was great. Small supermarket next door. Best value and most comfortable accommodation of our Tasmanian travels so far.

Very spacious cabin, and comfortable. Everything needed to prepare meals etc.Handy to supermarket (Very close) and a 15- 20 min walk to the centre of town and the river mouth, beach etc You can walk the beach for miles either way .A really great little town.
