This hotel is in a great location and has nice communal facilities. The social guy who works on the tourism desk was so much fun and really friendly. He organised a bingo night and campfire which was really good. This was only on one night of our stay - we would have loved to see this every night. All the other male staff were grumpy and rude, especially the main guy who tended to look us up and down. We had a small double and it was so small there was no where to put our two bags without taking up all the floor space and having to climb over them. The side table was slanted so nothing could be put on it without it falling down which was annoying. When we turned the AC on black fleck of dust or debris flew out all over our bed and belongings. Finally 1 day after leaving the place my card was charged again for the amount of the room even though I had paid for the room at check in. I had to message the hotel for them to update their system, then message them a second time to get them to confirm they wont be charging me again. Lots of hassle for a lot of money. For the price of this place I wouldnt recommend it at all, unless you are staying in a dormitory. You can spend the same amount and stay in a bigger room in a similar location. It may have less social events, but even these didnt happen every evening.
Cute property and has potential. The rooms were small but clean. However, not all rooms contain TV or a refrigerator. The AC unit in our room didnt work well. Only cooled the room slightly. New staff for new reopening seem to have different understanding. Would be good idea to hold all staff meetings each day before 6 am opening to go over expectations. TV at front desk states that the breakfast starts at 6:30 but doesnt apply to all breakfast. No place to get ice and or water without asking staff and no coffee station to get free coffee as in most hotels. No coffee pot in bedrooms. Needs more chairs for around pool and some of what is there is broken or needs cleaned. Pool needs daily sweeping to clean what falls in it and to eliminate the tiles from changing colors. Overall, nice stay but has some work to do. Location is very close to downtown.
