La Fortuna Downtown Boutique Hotel

His staff was extremely helpful. Even after we checked out, they let us keep our bags in a secure area until our ride. Got there several hours later throughout the entire state they were incredibly helpful.

Our particular room was tiny, unsure how the rest of rooms are. Nonetheless it was pleasant for a one night stay. All staff was very pleasant , breakfast was good. Would recommend to anyone for short stays.

When they had to fix the hot water tank for two days in our room. They should have moved our room

Being right in town allows you to walk to dinner or check out the town by just walking around

It was a little hard to find, but besides that everything was great

We liked the central location. The staff at the reception were excellent. Especially Brian and Alex.

The room was quite dark. And could use extra light in the bathroom.

We chose this hotel for its central location and suitability for our budget and it lived up to expectations. Nothing fancy here but welcoming staff and clean surroundings. The food was excellent and try the avocado on toast it’s epic

The location was right downtown, amazing, my room also had a view of the main park square.

The lighting in the room could be better and the bed a light softer, the bed frame would squeak when you tried to turn at night.

The pillows were too high, we didn’t use them. We take the blanket and folded to use it as a pillow.

The welcome cocktail at the bar, excelente service, good food. The breakfast was very good, overall excellent.

Loved the location! The room was very clean and the staff were so kind… bonus was the yummy breakfast!

No elevator but the front desk clerk carried my luggage up for me!

Location of new parking lot is too far and you need to have available parking cards for all visitors. The protocol of needing the parking card to get your vehicle and come back to the hotel to bring the card back and the same protocol when you arrive from tours is not efficient nor friendly to the customer. Liked the parking at the back of the hotel better.

there were no elevators which seems pretty typical of costa rica but we were not aware of this and had luggage

We received the warmest welcome from the front desk workers. I believe his name was Gerend with beautiful curly hair. The room, the restaurant, the pool, and the overall feel of the hotel was incredibly relaxing and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and consisted of a lot of local fruits and dishes.

I liked that it had air conditioning and that the bed was comfortable.

There wasn’t anyone swimming in the pool, I just thought that was weird. I also didn’t need my room cleaned everyday, so could use a sign for no needing to clean.

Everyone is super friendly and helpful!! The food was delicious. A welcome drink was very welcoming and much needed. I enjoyed dinner there, night one. Excellent food and service for dinner and breakfast the next day. The pool is lovely. The location is perfect and close proximity to many things. It is also on pick up lists for tours and shuttles. The room was perfect size for 1 person. The bathroom is huge. Hot water was plentiful! The room was comfortable temp with their AC unit. I highly recommend staying here!

The location is excellent. The staff were super friendly. They also let me store my luggage while I got some lunch and went shopping.

It’s attached to a restaurant which can get a little loud, but with ear plugs I was fine. I didn’t use the pool because it’s literally next to the seating for the restaurant. Had a little bit of a hard time finding the place mostly because I was expecting a parking lot attached and the hotel only says Downtown, but eventually found it after reaching out to the hotel. I only stayed one night to explore downtown and I wouldn’t recommend a long stay. The traffic gets a little crazy.

It is on a busy street, so a bit noisy. All rooms are on a landing at the top of the stairs so noisy when other guests are coming in
