Hotel Ascot Bristol

Clean and well ventilated. Staff was friendly but did not know as much English.

The hotel is right next to the train tracks and it runs early in the morning to late at night.

It was clean and spacious. And that's it.

It was cold! Really cold! They switched off heating at 23:00 and didn't turn on until 9:00 when I was leaving. No tea of coffee in the room. WI-FI was a disaster. If you need video-meeting, don't bother, won't work.

It's been more than 15 years since we've been staying regularly in this hotel. It keeps a high level of cleanliness and comfort. Breakfast choice got somewhat reduced over time, but it is still a perfect start of the day. Stern shopping center walking distance from the hotel.

The time starts showing its mark, some rooms might need renovation: mold building up on shower elements, broken garage door, the list goes on. The reception staff was a bit careless about any extra needs. It is still a good value for money.

Location

Rude staff, no WIFI, no apology. We wouldn’t have booked this accommodation if we had known there was no WiFi in the rooms. They advertise high speed in all rooms. They said they have a problem that’ll be fixed next week ?. Somehow we were made to feel that was our problem. Not sure what the 4* is about. Room was less than average as were facilities. We wouldn’t give it 1*. Maybe this was a good hotel once, but not now!

Super price, location, room size.

One member of staff at breakfast seemed not to like my arriving 20 minutes before breakfast closing and I sensed passive-aggression. No coffee offered; others' dishes not cleared away from the table; milk begrudgingly given when asked but with a warning about breakfast closing times. An unpleasant experience at the start of the day...Other staff were extremely friendly and considerate.

Very spacious, comfortable room at a great price. Easily accessible location - a tram straight from the main station to the front door. Friendly, efficient staff. Fine breakfast, also good value. And a long check-out time (till 12) that allowed for a leisurely morning.

Lovely big room with a large bathroom including a bath?. Fridge and mini bar. Excellent breakfast. Dog friendly.. Very easy to find.

Poorly parked cars (over the lines) made it hard to park. No kettle or coffee maker in room

Most of all the Lady from the Restaurant ( which restaurant also provides the breakfast for the Hotel )For the probably by far busiest Sunday breakfast she wasserving coffee and clearing tables alone ( as it happens nowadays often that staff is not easy to hire and seemingly do not show up as arranged. ) She did a tremendous job which some guests didn't even notice as they are only interested in getting their coffee served .. ( fast ) She is not on the picture, but as I had a brief chatthe next quieter day and now with 2 people for the same job, she comes from Croatia. Again a well done for her !We got an extreme large room mend for wheelchair person(s).The free on site parking. With full Hotel some adjoining streets might be available if not limited to residents only.There was however no hotel check that only hotel guests parked at their (?) premises.

Our room was at the front and with the hot weather we could not leave the many (good) windows open as the passing traffic was quite near and loud and started to pick up early in the morning.A room at the back is what we would prefer next time.

- No free parking ?- No air conditioning in the room which is a problem in the summer This forced us to sleep with the window and curtain open and in the morning a strong light came in that illuminated us at a very early hour . ?- They charge money for the water they put on the the water they put in the room is something I haven't seen even in the cheapest hotels- Very uncomfortable bed with very very small pillows. In the morning our whole body ached from the bed.

It’s not in the center of Potsdam, but the tram station is in front of the hotel.

We had a spacious room with a view on the tram line. The staff was very helpful. I opted for underground parking for 9€/day but if you look you can find parking around. I found the location great for visit of Potsdam and Berlin. Tram line to Potsdam centre comes every few minutes and you can be in Berlin centre by tram/train in 50 minutes.

The furniture is a little bit aged and room needed some fresh air. Also the internet did not work very well in the room.

Hotel itself is quite dated and looks like it could do with a modern touch up. Location is good for travellers on the move elsewhere, but not great for people wanting to explore Potsdam.

Was ok, a bit far from the center, you always need to take the tram but it’s not that far after all just 20Minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I didn’t feel was super clean, like finding some hair here and there, under the pillows, the blanket or the bathroom. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special I would say.

Easy to reach on our wat from amsterdam to Warsaw with a break in Potsdam's Schloss Sanssouci. 24 h reception in the hotel.

Underground parking , cafe and a really good Turkish eatery right across the street . Staff were very friendly and helpful Near motorway access .

Not the greatest of locations But good for an overnight .

Very spacious rooms, clean and comfortable.. location is great, next to bus and tram stations, also shopping malls

Only that the internet connection was not stable all the time

We had a late check-in. When we got near the entrance one of the staff members already came over to open the door for us. Water pressure was great. Breakfast was fresh, and we were greeted with much joy.

Staff didn’t speak english very well. In front of the hotel are a couple of parkingspaces. You first have to check in to get acces to the parking garage. Which wasnt lighted. I requested to seperate the beds from each other, which wasnt done.

The only problem is that they didnt tell us beforehand that they charge the parking spot.It wasnt expensive and it isnt about the money, but I hate misleading before the receipt comes...

Superb location, friendly staff, very simplified check in /check out process.

I could not log into the WiFi as it was an open network.!
