    Pros +

    • The breakfast was really good, the staff was exceedingly helpful and fluent in English, the bar had a surprisingly good selection, the location was convenient to the historic center of town, and there was air conditioning — which is rare in Europe!
    • Nicest hotel of our entire trip to Germany. Great location, lovely room - very spacious, nicely appointed, view of the Gate out our window. Enjoyed the bar and sitting areas on the main floor - great ambiance, and of course the complimentary candy bar was a treat.
    • suites are nice

    Cons -

    • The air conditioning unit was an unlabeled knob, which was bit confusing to understand, but that might have just been my American stupidity. Also, it was somewhat hard to find late-night eating options in the area. But that might be more of a town-wide issue tbh
    • no restaurant. slow bar service in the evening. no bellhop, no ramp for luggage, steps are challenging with luggage. breakfast is too expensive
    • WiFi din not work in the room

Fantastic location, walkable to everything. Very comfortable room. Quiet. Professional staff. We are on a cycling trip and there was a very safe place to store our bikes

Really, nothing however typically we make “friends” with the staff and we didn’t this time.

Lovely hotel in central location. Very clean and comfortable. Very nice and helpful staff. Breakfast was very good as well. We appreciated the complementary minibar snacks and drinks. Toiletries of very good quality

Parking space is tight. But the hotel warned us about it.

Very clean comfortable and elegant hotel , reception staff were very helpful specially Charles

Excellent location, spacious room with balcony. Nespresso machine with pods, so we could have a coffee. The room temperature could be controlled.

The bathroom was very small. This made things difficult occasionally.

    Good location. Great staff

I could not fit my vehicle in the car park.

An absolute go to in Potsdam. Cosy, great food, wonderful bar and excellent staff.Concierge will go out of his way to get you VIP seats in the best restaurants.Only downside is leaving

We stayed in a junior suite which had a beautiful terrace, and was generously sized and lovely updated decor. Staff was attentive and helpful.

Location is excellent but rooms overlooking the main road are noisy … there’s a hospital nearby and the ambulances put on the sirens as they pass through the traffic light right outside the hotel. The breakfast was excellent and very relaxed. No hurry to finish up even if you arrive just before it closes. Rooms very clean.

This hotel is really just “bed and breakfast”. I have no idea how it gets a 4 star rating. It has no restaurant, no room service and apart from breakfast … no food service. It has a bar that offers poor little snacks to accompany drinks. The hotel staff … two German girls on reception were lovely and helpful. There were two other male staff members who were not helpful and quite hostile.

Attractive hotel. Ideally placed to explore Potsdam on foot - Very friendly staff. Safe car parking. Wide choice on breakfast buffet.

    9AndrewPosted on: 1-3-2025

The hotel is in a great location, the parking was underground and fine for our midsized car. The rooms are clean and well looked after. The staff were great and always professional The incuded free minibar is something else that is an extreme positive. A very well presented bathroom with top quality amenities. I would return again for sure.

Sadly, the air conditioning did not work, which meant the rooms were just too warm. This did affect my sleep during the stay. I do believe it is policy in certain countries to have the air conditioning disabled during winter.. but 25°c in the room is just too much.

High quality of furniture and rooms in general. Beautiful appearance, good taste in furnishings. Super clean and well maintained. Great combination of convenience, comfort and style.

Maybe there could have been a little more choice in the cheese for breakfast, given it is not included in the room. Otherwise all perfect.

Great location in a lovely town close to Berlin. The room was spacious, clean, and attention to every traveler's needs. Numerous bakeries and restaurants are nearby as well as a lovely park for early morning runs.

We did not eat there but did have drinks one evening. The bar was quite attentive.

    10KatrinPosted on: 10-29-2024

The room was lovely, smelled really nice and welcoming. The hotel provided Nespresso capsules or high end tea facilities in the room. The bathroom was welcoming and the shower was excellent. Beds were exceptionally comfy. Breakfast was excellent with fresh ingredients though came with a steep Eur 21 per person. The hotel provides parking again at a Eur 20 charge, but considering it's Potsdam, it's OK. The hotel is situated at one of the gates just outside the old quarter with nice boutiques, restaurants or great bars (Fritzen ought to be on the visiting list if one likes quirky bars).

    Nothing, everything was beyond awesome!

Location, Style, Bar Bit Most of all the Staff. Congratulations all staff has been always helpful, attentive and mega polite. The chambermaids on the corridor were also very friendly, and the rooms were super clean. The hotel is not new and modern, but you can see and feel that everything is extraordinary well maintained. Super breakfast in a cozy room, again very good staff. Clean, good products ( partly self made) from the kitchen. There was a terrace next to the breakfast room, I suppose that is open for Breakfast on warm Days. Good bar Menu for Drinks choices, with a good local beer. Dining Menu in the Bar (we did not have), but sounded great. We had an excellent weekend, in this super trouper Hotel.

Everything, very comfortable and close to Sanssouci park. Great breakfast and the staff were brilliant. Nicely decorated rooms and very comfortable bedding.

    10BrendaPosted on: 10-10-2024

Beautiful room and attentive staff plus a great location to the Dutch Quarter. Our room reminded me of a genteel and older hotel but with new amenities and a prix faire mini bar.

We did not partake the breakfast as it was quite expensive. There are numerous bakeries in the area that are excellent.
