- I was disappointed with the rooms: old, stuffy and not clean at all. On the first eve I even asked for cleaning spray because it was not clean and there was no other room available.
- Inclusion in GPS based systems was off.Apparently not a one off;)People in the village informed us and showed us the way and said it happened often.

Breakfast, balcony, bathtub, restaurant dinner, location next to bus stop, and bar.
Beds and pillows
Close to nature.
Closed swimming pool.Every day there is information that the pool will be open the next day... but he wasn't.
All was great, room was big, beds comfy and shower good. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was goed as the breakfast. An employee made me a specials decaf capuccino with oatmilk :-).
Friendly, profesional staf, comfortable beds, spacious rooms, good clean bathroom. Lovely cafe,
Breakfast wss a little expensive
Nice enough hotel. We cycled there with OV bikes from the station which worked well. The hotel itself is totally fine, nice pool area, restaurant and bar also good.
Restaurant wait staff were very average. Also you should book for the restaurant. No fridges in the rooms anymore.
The location
There was dust and dirt on the bedstand and top side of the mattress on one of the beds. The rooms were lacking ambiance, the place felt like an old people's home, utilitarian rather than hospitable or cozy. The rooms felt like hospital rooms. The bathroom, particularly, was outdated and ugly. The Sauna and swimming pool were closed for renovation, and this was not clearly mentioned on Booking.com when I booked, as I particularly filtered for it. The price of 182 for a family room was overpriced for the value we got. The room barely met a 3-star hotel standard. There wasn't even a place to put our suitcase properly. The place was full of weird smells in the hallways. The emergency exit was open wide at 23:00 and the next morning I noticed the fence to the emergency escape stairs was also open. In both cases I alerted the staff and they seemed extremely surprised. This is not the kind of thing you want to experience at a hotel. In the restaurant service was unattentive. I literally had to go find them twice just so we could place our order. The breakfast was mediocre at best. Croissants were gone as soon as they were delivered, meaning often you had to wait 10 minutes for new ones to be provided. I've stayed at a lot of hotels, and this wasn not a good one.The beds were uncomfortable (too soft), the pillows especially, leaving both me and my mother with sore necks and joints from posture.
Location, friendly staff.
Overall appearance like an AZC. Beds are too soft. Use of swimming pool comes with an additional fee for bath rope and slippers. It’s a 70EUR/night stay that is way overcharged.
We were upgraded to a larger room on arrival which was a lovely surprise! We had a bath and shower, balcony and living room space. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Quiet location. Lovely dinner and breakfast at the hotel.
Bigger softer towels would be nice
Blackout curtains were GRAND. WiFi was great. Location superb. Close to bus stop, easy to reach both Arnhem and Apeldoorn and Dieren. Wait staff courteous and pleasant. Nice bar and patio.
REALLY disappointed that the pool was closed the 2nd day; pool towel charge (!!).Whole place could use some TLC, paint and general maintenance. Prefer hardwood floors over carpets. Beds were too soft.In room amenities were PAPER !!) cups and powdered coffee cream. For a 4* hotel?
Lovely location. Unique history too.
Bar shutting so early ☹️
The main reception building and the grounds were amazing
Rooms outdated - small tv, uncomfortable beds/pillows
The staff and location (very close to the Veluwezoom park) is great. Very nice restaurant.
Location, quiet, terasse
Very sagging beds
The hotel has a nice Location.
The hotel is absolutely overpriced for what it offers. The rooms are barren, the walls are dirty, the tiles in the bathroom cracked. The carpet has been in place since the invention of the telegram, and the mattresses cannot remember the day where rather than sloping your head to meet gravity’s impact they actually resembled something you can sleep on. You got through the night best by not looking at the bedding and towels, ‘clean’ being a word that cannot in good or bad faith or any faith be used to describe them. The view out the windows was lovey and green, though only visible through a haze of dirt on the glass.
Situated in greenery in a beautiful little village. Well worth a walk around especially if you turn right and right again. I had a lovely swim in the pool. Helpful staff at reception. Pleasant breakfast.
My sister in law and I prefer single beds. We couldn’t really separate the mattresses but the bed was easily big enough for the 2 of us.
The location is great. The hotel is beautiful and spotless. We really enjoyed the small indoor pool , a perfect spot to relax after a day out.
The mattresses were not comfortable at all. They were so soft that you would sink into them and end up tilting during the night.
I stayed 4 nights in July, magnificent setting for walks in nature. Bus stop just outside the hotel with direct line to Arnhem. Staff are friendly and caring asking for feedback. Food is delicious and the historic building is themed decorated. Rooms are spacious and mattress quality is better than most Fletcher hotels.
Room cleaning is below standards. 4 nights they didnt change bedlinen, didnt vacuum the carpet, didnt refill soaps or coffee. You need to ask at the reception for the basics of cleaning. Pool room and water were very hot for July.
