Burghotel Lingen

The location was perfect, the breakfast excellent, and the room was clean and well-equipped. I enjoyed our stay!

Beautifully clean, the best location on the fussgänger zone, yet you could drive to the side of the building to drop off luggage

The breakfast was very good.

The hotel was very difficult to find and the hotel should make a location map available to guests. It would also be good if they could ask the town council to get rid of the concrete bollard that is in the street opposite the entrance to the hotel. This bollard performs no function and is a hazard to visitors' cars!

Hotel is located in the Lingen pedestrian area, very nice historic building beautifully renovated and extended. Modern room, good mattress, convenient lift to the upper floors. Efficiently organized late arrival with a PIN code secured key box. Helpful instructions provided after booking for free parking in a 180 m distance from the hotel.

Breakfast did not meet my expectations. Fruit salad did not seem to be made from fresh fruit, the bowl was almost empty when I came for brekkfast and was not refilled during my stay in the area. Good selection of bread and rolls, good coffee and broad selection of different teas.

Its a small, clean and modern hotel in the city center. I enjoyed the breakfast and location of the hotel.

Everything was in order. There are no complaints from my side.

Clean rooms and facilities. I spent a couple of hours working on my laptop in the dining room. It’s a very cute and relaxing space.

Car park is approx. 200 m away from the hotel. You have to carry your luggage to the hotel.

rooms were new, hotel is in the city center

overall, service is poor. out of six- seven hotel’s employees only one (!) was speaking English. during check-in my ID card were copied without any reason - first, reception lady used google translator to explain she has to have data for check-in card, but when I said she can simply take it from my ID and avoid scanning or copying yshe gave me check in form with all data filled out automatically by booking.com. she rejected though returning copy, works only when I said it is illegal and I will contact police if she will not give it back. then she said I have to pay for whole stay right away or I cannot check in. it was not service - it was “our way or highway” approach. smell in the room was terrible - odor from plumbing was so bad I had to ask for reaction from a man, who I met on the corridor (I had no chance nor hope to explain that lady from reception). window to my room was approx. 7 meters from the window of apartment on the second side on the street - no privacy at all. desk was very small, you cannot work like that. even though I kept my “please tidy my room” sign in my room, I met cleaning lady in my bedroom when I left my bathroom. breakfast is really small and repeating, served in very limited time frames (6:30-9:30). when I came the breakfast at 9 o’clock I had only cold eggs to eat. coffee machine was broken and I had a feeling like they were surprised/offended with “so-late” coming.

location, free parking. breakfast (incl omelets), modern rooms. good deal for visiting Lingen. almost next to the Xmas market but no noise

church bells rang on Sunday morning 10.15. most people are up by that time!

This place is great!!! I could give it a 10 but because of the noise next to the hotel I gave it a 9. The room is big and clean , the bed is comfortable. Friendly staff and great location.
