    Pros +

    • Beautiful grounds.
    • The food at the Sapphire was delicious. Service was slooow. No Worries brand tour was best part of our stay. They are not run by the hotel. It was great to get to the reef and swim in nice waters. Was worth the price. They will cook if they catch.
    • Staff were wonderful and very accommodating. Loved the experience.

    Cons -

    • Remoteness without any activities, beach that you cannot swim from.
    • Unmaintained beaches were un swimable. Had to take the costly express boat to get to a clean beach for $76US round trip. Sand fleas. Was told our snorkel trip boat was at dock and it had left already.
    • Nothing to complain about

I liked location away from the hustle and bustle of San Pedro. Accommodations were perfect for me and my friend traveling - 2bedroom with unsuited bathrooms with sea views. Falling asleep with the sound of the sea was delicious..

The beach is not really swimmable and it trashy outside of the resort area. This has to do with the trash issues in central America more than the accommodations. But if you are looking for pristine beach conditions you will have to head to Secret Beach about 40.minute golf cart ride away.

Staff were great and the food was amazing!

The beds were uncomfortable and our shower barely worked. We were also a little surprised by all the bugs and critters.

The staff were amazing and did everything they could to help me with anything I needed during my stay. Everyone was very friendly! Far enough away from everything to be really peaceful.

The weather had the adult pool shut down and even though the beach was right outside I couldn't enjoy it. Nothing anyone coudo about that though

The staff were wonderful, knowledgeable and very kind. The room was beautiful and peaceful.

The location was just so far away from the main strip of San Pedro/city, and taxi fare was $100-$200 USD depending on the time of day. The resort was beautiful besides the Sargasso sea weed (almost all the resorts had this problem) which made the beach front smelly and inaccessible to our small children.

We had it to ourselves, kayaks and bikes

Tons of seaweed so could not swim there, ask before you book as it’s seasonal.

    9GaryPosted on: 5-3-2025

Great staff, secluded location (maybe a little TOO), good food and market choices nearby, comfortable living arrangements.

Not the property, just the new reality of the sargassum seaweed that takes over from March to October. You can get through the floating weed, but its side effects are tough. Love the place, time your visit!

100 USD fine for losing my room key??' C'mon!!!

It's an OK place, too far from town, with beaches full of sargasso where you can not swim. The restaurant is fine and service is good. But dont you ever, ever lose your room key (one of those very simple keys that cost 5 USD in any country), because you will be charged 100 USD. My friend dropped it in the sea (along with her cell phone and several other personal items) and we were forced to pay 100 USD, although they admitted to having 2 extra keys, for cleaners.Because of that, and because of he guy at reception that was less empathetic than a stone I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. IT WAS THE ONLY BAD THING ABOUT BELIZE. Shame. Beautiful country and beautiful people though.

Amazing! Loved getting picked up at the dock for a couple of our excursions. Penthouse perfect for the 8 of us. Separate showers and toilets in all the rooms. Big balconies to hang out. Did my Tai chi facing the beach off third floor balcony. Pools to choose from.

Third floor shower I could not get warm water.

    Helpful staff, great pools

Distance from San Pedro and condition of the road

The property was clean and the staff were amazing!

It was out away from town, but that added charm. If you go to secret beach or tranquility. The location doesn’t matter.

    8ViolaPosted on: 2-3-2025

The property was clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly. The pools were lovely but a bit small. All music at the bar was off by 9 pm making for quiet peacefull nights.

There were not enough loungers around the pools or at the beach area. The road to town was terrible, very bumpy and muddy. The mosquitos were very bad so be sure to apply bug spray as soon as you get there. The restaraunt menu was very limited so travel to other restaraunts was necessary.

Solitude on the beach. Gated at night with a guard. Rocking chairs on porch to enjoy sea view. Nice trees to give shade and hang our hammock on. Staff was friendly. It's a long ride to town (45 minutes), but there are some interesting restaurants within 1/2 hour. We enjoyed the adventures with our golf cart, but if you don't plan, ahead for food. Nice shower and AC.

This is an property with individual owners. There were lots of residents gathered and chatting about all the complaints they have with the place. There were some unfinished buildings. There was a lot of seaweed and garbage on the shoreline. I noticed them raking, but they left the seaweed and the garbage on the edge. The wifi access was very bad. We only had breakfast at the restaurant and found it uninteresting. If you have a golf cart, make sure you have gas, cause there is none in the north.

    Spectacular view! Wonderful staff.

The bar was located in a wind block and there were lots of mosquitoes.

I enjoyed the friendliness of the staff, and I loved my bungalow. The one thing I would always remember how everyone made my visit so memorable this was the best birthday weekend. I will be back soon.

There was not nothing to dislike about being in paradise. The location was perfect away from the crowds, the beach was not crowded. If you had to dislike anything about the resort is that I did not stay long enough.

The staff was very nice Aden was awesome. Very helpful and housekeeping was patient and understanding when we wanted to sleep in. The ground keepers were very nice as well. Would recommend to others and would come back. The Gem restaurant was a plus and was very kind and helpful. Food was really good as well.

    The Mosquitoes.
