Pros +
- Spotless rooms with an amazing view.
- Great integration of managing a conference and caring for all guests.
- The view from my room on the 5th floor was great and being able to walk to so many things was awesome.
Cons -
- Everything here was great apart from the 25 minutes you are scheduled for the out door hot tub.
- The water from the shower kept splashing outside of the shower area, due to poor design. Making it slippery and messy. The drain system seems to have an issue, when the water is turned on and enters the drain, a sewage smell comes out from the drains, only when the water is turned on. Looks like these old buildings don't have a vent system.

Pillows and blankets not comfortable
Clean comfortable room and bed. The portable ac was a plus. And the lanchas/ferries were close by.
BETTER THAN HAVING NO ACCOMMODATION AI ALL
The rooms did not have safety boxes. Also, no air conditioning. While it is cool at night in Atitlan, I feel they should have mentioned these things before we booked. A la Carte breakfast was good but the buffet was awful. Not even a toaster on premises. Their transport service to Guatemala City Airport was almost 30 minutes late.
Excellent location, clean, has a gym, everything we needed.
Nothing!
I like the location, the friendliness of the staff, and the clean rooms. The place is very cozy.
It was well equipped, nice location, very clean and comfortable
I did not see value in the concierge. When I requested transport options I was only given a number to an expensive travel agency offering only private transport. There was no personal help with arrangements. I did not think the breakfast was anything special, even when upgraded to the buffet
Good volcano view from the room
The room on both edge of the building can see two volcano at the same time but only released to valued customers .
The staff was great, the place was spotless. The breakfast was delicious. The only thing that would makevit perfect is adding a airconditioner to the room.
The fact yhat the room was pretty warm and the standing fan did not work properly.
I was pleasantly surprised with the organization, size, cleanliness, and location of the hotel.
Location
I didn't like the booking.com price compared with the hotel directly, I overpaid, there wasn't anything included. I wish now I had booked directly with the hotel and not through booking.com
LOCATION! The hotel was beautiful and had everything we needed.
I got charged twice for 1 night and then was told it would take like 3 months to get refunded so they suggested I spend the credit on meals. I ended up doing that.
Every staff member is exceptionally friendly. Location is good within Panajachel and parking is straightforward and included (not standard on the lake). Great views from the deluxe bedrooms. Ongoing renovations made for a brand new bathroom in our bedroom, upgrades are being continued. We also like that there is a kids club.
This was our second time at this hotel, and -- given the price -- there were a few major letdowns, which is why we cancelled our third stay we had planned before.Service times, especially of the kids club, are erratic. It's impossible to find out exactly when it starts and ends and everybody, including written information, will give you different info. There is a cinema night organized by the kids club on Saturdays. It's the second time we experienced this and we love the idea. Due to a wedding at the hotel, and maybe also the weather, the cinema night was moved indoors. The kids (they speak fluent Spanish) asked about pricing for Popcorn etc. and were told we wouldn't need to bother. We didn't have all inclusive but paid what we consumed. During the night, they were refused additional snacks after the first, while the kids on all inclusive plans could have as many as they wanted. They were very upset about that, especially since noone bothered to ask us if we would pay extra (which we would have), so we were upset too. We made that known and nobody cared.Lastly, in regard to food, Sunday breakfast was mixed. Hearty options were good, but sweet options were a joke for the price: There were (bad) pastries and French Toast (which is horrible, already in its presentation). In the beginning, there was some Creme Brulet, maybe leftovers from the wedding, but that was never refilled. Made our already annoyed kids (because of the snack situation during movie night) even more grumpy. Buffet dinner on Friday was poor, there were practically only limited meat choices. I don't want waste either, but come on: Beef or pork? That's not a choice for that price, how abiut beef and fish / seafood? We've stayed in several Porta Hotels in the Antigua area, including the main house, and they're all far superior in that regard, along the way offering better value.
The property is very clean. It’s right on the lake with amazing lake views for all the rooms in the property. Nice buffet. Great kids club.
The AC in the room sometimes doesn’t work and the cleaning lady just stops AC in the middle of the day. The pool is not heated and it’s pretty cold even in a hot day. You need to book Jacuzzi and it’s a waitlist to visit Jacuzzi. They have different prices for locals.
Great location and facilities. Used the gym and pool everyday. Staff were friendly.
Breakfast could have been included given the cost of the hotel per night. Other than that, it was a fantastic hotel!
