Hotel La Royale

The staff was welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was alright.

the room clearly needed a freshening up. The furniture and the paint on the wall was all chipped. The carpet on the floor dirty and dusty, so that I has to sleep with an open window to breath fresh air during the night. The cold tab water of the shower did not work.

Charming old hotel, well kept and clean. Friendly staff.

Opposite the train station and only 20 mins walk into the central areas

Very basic room, shower almost impossible to use. Very dated decor in the room and needs cleaned up / updated.

Sometimes no staff on the desk.The beds were not overly comfortably, just one small pillow.The shower could not be turned off. We reported this, it was fixed but on the 2nd day (of a 2 day visit) it didn't work at all.

I didn’t realise my room came with breakfast which was a nice surprise. I left early so the staff made a nice breakfast bag for me.

I waited nearly 15 minutes to check in as there was no staff available at the desk. I had to go to the restaurant to ask. I could see they were very busy (which is a good thing of course!)

The breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly.

The room was extremely small with very little room to move in the room.

The location is great right next to the train station and very close to the city center. The breakfast buffet has good variety.

The room and the bathroom were pretty run down and looked like they hadn't seen any improvements in 50 years. Carpets and tiling might have been clean, but looked somewhat filthy.

We loved the location, just next to the station and within walking distance to the beautiful town hall. The bed are very comfy and the breakfast was delicious and various.

Great location near the train station and close to the city centre attractions as well as the Stella Artois Brewery.The price was reasonable and included breakfast which was a good standard continental style.Staff were friendly and allowed us to store our bags when we arrived before check in time.

The lift was a bit temperamental.

The poor furnishing. Evertyhig is very old and uncomfortable. It does not give a good atmosphere inside the rooms. It is very noisy in the corridors. No noise isolation indoors. It feels a bit like a very expensive hostel.

I liked the stately, historic building and the cozy interior.Old lift like they don't make them anymore:)In the room, with closed windows, you hear nothing from the street although it's in the centre of the city, 30 meters from the train station.Great atmosphere.Very friendly staff.

The matress wasn't good. It was higher in the middle than on the sides, which had a tendency to push you to the side.Floor was old carpet with stains. It didn't look too clean but I'm sure that it wasn't dirty.

The breakfast was delicious, with lots of options for bread and different juices, types of milk, yogurt, and coffee. The view from the room, especially at sunrise, was amazing. The location was also great, very central. For one night for work purposes, the hotel is more than great.

The mattress was quite hard and uncomfortable. The room was a bit hot and stuffy too, but the fan in the room provided some comfort. The carpet in the entire room is a bit unhygienic and makes it dusty.

Perfect location, very kind staff. Nice views.

There is nothing to mention that I liked apart from the central location

Poor facilities, poor services, Overpriced, very old and dirty place. The lift was risky. I was deceived and misled by the information provided in the description

Super centrally located, great view from the room, cosy building with a lot of charm. Was especially happily surprised about the breakfast options (vegan options, gluten free options). Friendly staff and luggage storage option.

It was quite warm in the room, but there was a fan provided :)

La Royale, is a historic building, with a beautiful classic design. Easily accessible from the train station, so managing luggage was a dream. The breakfast was great with lots of choices. The staff were professional and friendly. The restaurant provided well priced, quality food, the muscles were great. We enjoyed sitting outside with the many locals, drinking a beer watching the world go by.

Our room was basic, but functional. A fair representation of the price I paid. I didn't like having to come home, I love Lueven.
