good location and enjoy the staff

The room was clean and spacious. There were kettle, teabags, cups, iron available in the room. There is free public parking in front of the hotel so parking was easy. The check-in and check-out was easy. Overall it was good.

Location to town square was very good, since there were a few restaurants close by. The staff were very friendly, helpful with information and assistance with our travel questions. Rooms were very clean, breakfast had a large variety of choices. And the fact that breakfast is included in the rate, was very much appreciated. Nice pub or lounge is part of hotel.Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very convenient location, if not pretty. Easy access to the M40 which for me was important. Generous breakfast. Friendly reception. Small town which is worth exploring.

The hotel does not have much character and the looks over a car park.

The location is perfect when you want to visit gent and brugges. Breakfast has so many options. Staff behaviour is also very nice. Good place for overnight stay.

Location was great for my purposes. Hotel staff were very helpful and able to assist my search for a dinner restaurant for my guests. Breakfast was great.

no bags or rucksacks in the breakfast loungei get you dont wish customers to take 'extras' for the day ahead , but surely it wont break the bank if an apple or banana goes out the door - clearly the premises have had previous occupants who took advantage of the selection on hand

Good comfortable room; Aalter is a great location if you want to travel by public transport to Gent or Brugge

Staff a bit mixed. One person extremely helpful whereas the person looking after the night shift was a little unhelpful

The 4 stars are not justified, 3 stars at the most. Rooms are very simple and basic. Drain at bathroom sink blocked and heating in bathroom not working. Heating in the room could not be adjusted. It was OK for the one night. Would not go there again, though.

Convenient location for us for an overnight stop when driving from the UK to Germany. Parking was easy and free (with blue parking disk) in a public car park in front of the building. Some restaurants nearby. Room clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast was good..

The hotel is rated 4* but it looks like max 2*. Old furniture, a narrow hall, the bathroom without heating, we could not take a shower, there was a small electric heater to be used in the room or in the bathroom, the water had no pressure, the voyage fridge was placed in the bathroom....but we paid 93 euro/night without breakfast.We were disappointed and do not recommend this hotel.
