City2Beach Hotel

For starters the effort they made to let us check in smoothly while we (unfortunately) did not respond to their emails or various phone callsOnce arrived we liked the modern and very clean room as well as the quality of the breakfast and the politeness of the owner and the rest of the staff.

Everything was more then ok.

Good value, spacious room. Easy check in process after hours.

It would be good to have somewhere secure to store bikes. I knew this facility wasn't present at the hotel when booking so I don't think it's their fault. I just assumed that the city (this being the Netherlands) would have a secure facility. The only bike garage in the centre seemed to be abandoned. The city authorities should address this asap.

Location is really good, close to the beach, to city center and to cinema, breakfast was good. Room was well equipped

room was extremely small, like storage room converted into a room, I could hear all neighbors. I think I miss the information how to get to the closest parking.

Close to the beach line, in the center of the town.There are shops and supermarkets around.The bus stop is 2 minutes walking.Regular cleaning service!

There's not any lift, it's a bit difficult if you have a heavy suitcase.There's not any cattle in a room to make coffee. You should go the corridor where there is a coffee machine.There's no private hairdryer. Must be asked from the staff.

Location, Vlissingen itself is amazing.

Very thin walls in a hotel, annoying next door guests, equipment in the room is dilapidated, replace the hair dryer immediately because the existing one is throwing sparks and will cause a fire or someone will be electrocuted.

• clean• the bus stop from the train station (or from Middelburg is right in front of the hotel)• amazing location ~ in the heart of the city and around 5min walk to the seaside• I only stayed one night in a single bed room and it met my expectations • complimentary water was nice

• the STEEP stairs might be problematic for some• I wish there was a hairdryer (but maybe I could get one from the reception, I didn't ask for it)

My room was very cosy, beautiful bedding, i was very comfortable, also little coffee machine in the hallway was great.

Stairs are steep with no lift, it wasn’t easy with my suitcase. I needed help. Also arriving after 8pm and having to go to another lication to check in after a long days travel.

Clean room.

Too strict policy in terms of check in. Only 3 hours slot to check in is not enough. There are people who have long long journeys behind them before they reach this place. It's better to introduce self check in instead with code.The hotel reception was nice enough to give me key at earlier than 2 pm.

Shower to the Dutch. No space in the shower and when you take a shower you can't prevent making the whole bathroom wet. Please utilize shower doors and screens.

to be really honest there was not much we "liked" about this hotel.

First problem we encounter was the parking. Parking machines don't accept credit card, so how on earth can you buy a ticket to park your car. When we mentioned it to the staff she just said that she didn't know, Why didn't she offer to buy a day ticket for us, and we could pay her back later. That is called service, Second problem is the tiny little stairs to go to your room with your suitcases, Third problem was the very small bathroom, with no fan, and a sign that the fire alarm will go off if you leave the door open from the bathroom after you had your shower, and you are responsible for a 150 euro fine. Shower was ridiculously small and damp.

The hotel in general is nice value for the price. It's quite cheap and central in the city so it's great for a quick stay. The staff is also very nice and understanding.

Sadly, we did not have any hot water in the shower and the walls were quite thin so you could hear when other people were entering the place and/or leaving. But overall the people were very respectful so once they entered their rooms it was very quiet.

Good room, close to the center and beach. All clean and well organized.

Everything was perfect, small negative if any, sliding door to bathroom was not easy to slide.

The carpet was so dirty, the room constantly smelled of sweaty feet. no matter how often you ventilated. It was like that from the moment we arrived until we left. My ring slipped behind a broken wooden bar next to the bed. There was no way for me to take it out again. I told this to the lady I gave the key to on the day of departure. She just said she would look but couldn't promise anything, even though I had offered to cover the cost of sending the ring. All you had to do was unscrew the bar.

The room was clean. Location is central.

It was overall a very bad experience. We received a room under the roof with no heating at all. We tried to call the hotel (as they have an “emergency number” with a Dutch-speaking robot), but as we did not understand the automatic message we didn’t go through. After 2 nights of sleeping in the cold, with clothes on, we reached someone over the phone and someone came to check the pipes and the radiator. The lady was really nice and helpful, but she came with the key to another room, which cleearly suggests that they knew about the issue and just hoped for the best when selling the room. Basically, we slept in the cold 2 out of 3 nights. It was a bad decision to book this one.
