Forest Hotel

The best place to stay in Den Helder: friendly and welcoming staff-they helped us rent bikes on Texel island (which is easily accessible by short pleasant walk to the ferry terminal). The breakfast they provide is excellent with eggs made to order and great coffee. We shall return!

It is very convenient to the grocery store and to the navy museum

The hotel actually charges 5 euros per bike per night to store them in an inconvenient empty garage stall.There was only one towel in the room.There is no lift from ground level to reception.

The shower was awful, and it was not possible to drape the windows at all when they were open, providing a clear view into the room from neighboring apartments.

Rooms are really noisy, you can hear water running like it is in your own room

I like breakfast very much, all was fresh and nicely prepared and served. The room was comfortable with a possibility to prepare tea or coffee.

The shower was of "an American style" - from the ceiling, and there were no shower cap (not much comfortable if you don't want to water your hair).

There is a freshly baked egg service at the buffet, which in principle is a great idea. But it takes a very long time before it served. You probably are full after eating already up front. Please ask how long it takes before ordering. Or better yet: staff should tell you how long it takes and based on that you can make a decision!

The hotel is clean, stylish and comfortable. Ideally located for the train station. Breakfast was fantastic.

The toilet was very clean, but had a slightly musky smell.

In the center of the city. Near Railway station. Easy to reach. Friendly stuff. Easy to check-in.

Cold in the room. Cold bathroom. Fully opened heater and it was still cold. Some hotel room are connected by wall with cinema. I was possible to hear noises from cinema.

Staff are amazing, breakfast excellent, large clean room.
