- Nice and central.

Cons -
- Kept awake by a bird chirping through the night/ early morning. Hotel staff told me there was a man living in the room next to mine who owned a bird. Slightly bizarre. The room was very overpriced compared to other hotels in the town and I’m not sure why.
- I really didn't like that the room on the ground floor faced a parking lot, so you couldn't open a window without smelling and hearing cars. And that the bed was positioned so that every time you passed by, you bumped into the foot of the bed. The room had a strange smell. And on top of all that, the price is too high for the quality of the room.

Old fashioned hotel but friendly staff and good location next to the station.
Expensive for what it is.
Staff are fantastic, very friendly/ helpful. Food pretty good too.Its clean, warm, dry.Has a lift to upstairs rooms which is a bonus.
Rooms / furnishings / beds very very dated, this can be good thing in some settings, but not in this instance. Some rooms have weak water pressure through shower system. Poor lighting.Really Really needs a facelift, particularly as it's probably the most expensive hotel in Den Helder, due likely to its proximity to town centre/ train station.
I found the bed really comfortable. The restaurant and bar area was very cosy with the heaters being on.
Older hotel but I enjoyed that :)
Superb location, spacious family room with ample bathroom and open view.
Access to room a bit of a maze. Everything else was alright.
location is okay, just across the train station. Parking is available not far. was the only hotel with availability in town
way overpriced, last time the facilities were renovated was probably 1980. The room is way outdated, the bed is excessively soft. when i got in the room the heater was turned off. the bathroom is part of the room without any divider
Some staff were friendly, close to train station
Hotel is extremely over priced for what you get. Breakfast was mediocre and they argued over a minor detail in my bill (late check-out fee) which left me pissed off
Bike friendly with safe inside storage, and big portions of very hearty food.
We stayed only for one night but we were satisfied with accomodation. Stuff was very nice and answered all our questions. Rooms were also clean.
Good localisation, and tasty breakfast (not include in the room payment - additional payment). Comfortable bed.
Hot and stuffy in the room. Window facing the ventilation from the kitchen, which caused noise when the window was opened and smells from the kitchen. AND... and on Sunday morning someone woke us up because he closed our half-open window from the outside and started washing the windows, rubbing, scrubbing and squeaking
Good location nice room. A little dark.
Shower doors need beter cleaning and room lights need improving.
Location right across the train and bus station. The interior design was rustic. the room was spacious. the beds were comfy.
The hair dryer was not working and since we stayed one night we didn't bother telling them. there wasn't an air conditioner in the room.
I asked on site for a room upgrade from single to double. the hotel was full and still personal was very helpful and could arrange it.
Very nice restaurant, bar and terace. Nice personell. Fair prices for that area for beer and food. I felt welcomed all the time.
The room was a bit smaller than I am used to.
Excellent Staff very humble and the ambiance is awesome .
Extremely poor wifi signla on the 2nd floor and even after reporting the issue nothing was done.
Breakfast is not good. Very limited item. We couldn’t enjoy much. Located in prime location
As I said above breakfast, and the passage no space to move.
Hosts very friendly and helpful. Excellent location next to Den Helder train station. Charming interior with lots of character.
My room (single room) was adjacent to the very noisy lift. Kept me up most of the night. Mattress very worn and pillow very lumpy. I'm not a tall person but the quilt was too short for me and a taller person would struggle to fit into the bed. So unfortunately I had a poor night's sleep.
The hotel checked us in but sent us to another hotel because they were closed and didn't inform us of that before. The other hotel was at least one km away. Besides that it was dirty, unfriendly and dangerous situation. The Christmas evening they had a fire and didn't inform firefighters. I checked out one day before because I was scared as they were even guesting immigrants temporarily. They charged us with breakfast we didn't ask for nor we dare to eat it as it was really disgusting. The only recommendation I have for it is to avoid it as hell. Totally disappointed. Adding that the employee nor the property management ever answered our complaining. I was charged 1450 euro for this nightmare.
