Excellent location, just a short walk from the dunes and beach. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing a perfect place to relax after a day of work. The breakfast was fabulous, with a great variety of fresh options to start the day off right. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting!
The comfort cleanliness and friendliness of staff.
Distance to public transport, especially if you have luggage.
Nice big room and bathroom. Good location for exploring local attractions. Breakfast was great and the host very accommodating and attentive.

Breakfast was great. location was also great, we walked through the dunes each evening to get to the sea and find a restaurant.
The hotel has really nice rooms. The owner is very friendly and the breakfast is good
The WiFi is unfortunately quite slow and often disconnects
Nice breakfast. Comfortable room.
More like a private B&B than a hotel.
We had a wonderful stay, beautiful location, comfy room, great breakfast
Would be nice to have the possibility to park bikes in a garage
Very large clean comfortable room with coffee and tea making facilities. Great breakfast with a large variety of good. Cycle parking and the opportunity to leave luggage before check in. Staff were helpful and discreet.
My partner and I arrived in the afternoon, and check in was smooth and fast. We were so pleasantly surprised at the size of our room and the decor. So many details in the interior were attended to. There is a mini fridge in the room. Also very nice tea and coffee that we can make in the room. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower, and a balcony. The bathroom floor was cold to walk on, but small point for me, as we were so happy with the luxe feeling of everything else. Friendly owner who served us very nice breakfast, with fresh-squeezed orange juice, eggs, delicious assortment of breads, fruit salad. It is walking distance to the dunes, bike paths, and the sea. Although we did not sit in the garden in the back, it was also very beautiful. I would be happy to return to this family-owned B n B, or to recommend it to others! Thank you!
I did not like that our double bed was 2 single beds together, so there was a crack between my partner and I when sleeping. But the bed was comfortable. I noticed the cold bathroom floor in the middle of the night when walking barefoot on the floor, so that woke me up more. But again, I really did love this place, and all the fine details.
Beautifully restored in a quiet neighborhood setting. The room was lovely—like a Vermeer painting but with modern, clean amenities. We’d had a cold day visiting Texel and ended it at the Crown in a cozy bed with a hot cup of tea. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented—the service attentive and delightful. A highlight of our trip to the Netherlands. Highly recommend!
We liked everything about this property from the welcoming owner Ellen, to the beautiful and well appointed room, the charming living room and the fantastic breakfast served in a most charming dining room. we wish we had more days there to enjoy it and the North Sea coastline.
we have no negative remarks at all.
The hotel is located in a nice little town perfect for tulip hunting. The hotel itself is very charming and has a lot of character to it. The owners also stay in the same building and are great hosts. The breakfast spread was excellent and the hosts took care of the arrangements personally.
Nothing, everything was great. Highly recommended place to stay.
Breakfast was elaborate and there was plenty of good and delicious food. The room was beautiful and spacious. Bathroom was also large and well designed.
Location was a bit far out as we walked everywhere. They had trouble with internet which wasn’t nice because we needed to arrange our travel and so on, but this was out of their control.
very friendly hostess and excellent breakfast. rooms were nicely set up and very clean
Short story, if you want to stay in just a B & B hotel don't visit The Baron Crone! ! ! However, if you want to stay in a unique place in a fantastic hotel where you will feel like you are in a 7-star hotel (no joke !!) then this is the perfect place for you. By entering this hotel, you are transported back in time to a home that can be associated with the warmth of a family place, where you are always welcome, where breakfast is not a quick meal before work, but a moment is spent in an incredibly cozy, warm place, where the meal itself is just an activity and the whole essence of the moment, where classic music is quietly sucked from the speakers, where you will feed your senses with the view of the decor, where you will get delicious coffee or tea served in exquisite porcelain ....The rooms are very spacious, cozy and clean. The owner of the hotel, the woman is always smiling, nice and charming, delicious scrambled eggs - a real work of art :)This hotel does not need to be advertised, here you only have to hope that you will find a free room for even a short stay :)
If we are talking about this hotel ...... this paragraph should be removed from here...
Good location. Quiet. Lovingly restored old property but all necessary modern conveniences inside. Many nice touches and features. Nice bedroom, sheets, mini fridge. Nice bathroom although the shower water pressure could have been better.
Stayed when it was very hot. Top floor. An air con would have been very welcome.
Everything was perfect! We are well travelled and demanding but this place surpassed all expectations considering it is a 3 star BnB at a very reasonable price. We spent 3 nights in this haven! The hosts were incredibly attentive and so kind. Our room was very spacious and everything was very high quality. Location is fantastic as it is a little outside from downtown Den Helder but easily accessible by bike (or by foot (4km)) and 10 minutes by foot to the sea and a selection of restaurants. Finally, the breakfast was off the charts!
Nothing; we highly recommend this place!
