The 4-star Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel is located right in the heart of medieval city of Kilkenny. The property is only 2 minute's walk from main street, restaurants, shops and Kilkenny Castle. The rooms have TVs and are all en-suite. Complimentary WiFi and 24-hour room service is available for all guests. A multi-story car park is located opposite the hotel, where guests receive a special discounted rate. The Savor Restaurant serves a full Irish breakfast and offers dinner menus. Ormonde Lounge serves extensive lunch and evening menus, afternoon tea and hot and cold beverages throughout the day. Hoban Bar & Brasserie offers indoor and outdoor seating, local dishes and seafood, and live music on Saturday nights. - Lovely hotel. Good location.
- Great location for walking around town. Also nice breakfast included in the morning. Hotel is fairly upscale with a nice large room and king size bed.
- It was so clean and we really enjoyed our stay.
Cons -
- Our room was rediculously hot and we couldnt turn off the heating as it was timed. We were given a fan while it wasn't ideal it did help a little bit.
- Staff were not accommodating with our schedule since we arrived already at 9:30 am without any sleep. They would not allow us an early check in even though they had to have some rooms cleaned by then and we were sleeping in their lobby.
- Everything was lovely but they had no hairdryer in the room but it was okay as there was one in the leisure centre, and apart from that it was just perfect.
