Stadthotel Kassel

I really liked the location; it was one of the best possible locations. The breakfast was also okay and tasted good. Our room was on the 3rd floor and had a nice view.

According to the price, I've been in really better hotels, but otherwise, it was a good hotel. It was a little old but clean.

After speaking by phone since Portugal, the person who answer was very professional and solve what would be a serious issue for hotel booking or the hotel ????????

The reservation made by hotel booking, didn't exist I had to call the hotel and give the number and PIN of my credit card otherwise I couldn't go in the hotel, because they close the reception at 21:00hrs and there is nobody there, the doors are closed, and the guy I spoke with just told me that they did not have the reservation I made on BOOKING.COM. So after this they gave me another pin to open the hotel door and until the time I left the room on the next day I dont see any staff, curiously the recption desk was still closed at 10a.m. in the morning.

The room was clean and tidy. Mineral water was available.Location is perfect.

There was no refrigerator.

The location is excellent. It is right at the center of the city just a few mins walk from the station as well as from all major tourist attractions like Friedrichsplatz, Orangerie, Markthalle and Grimmwelt. There are lot of restaurants and cafes nearby.The staff at the reception was very nice and friendly.

Excellent location -- walkable to the city centre. The room was perfect for a single person. The breakfast was very nice and affordable. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

Absence of staff after certain hours in the evening. I thought a hotel would always have staff at the reception counter. However, the staff were reachable over phone.

Friendly Staff, ideal location in the center, close to the theater. We loved the breakfast with plenty of choice. The coffee was wonderful. We appreciated the fresh fruits.

There was unfortunately no parking available anymoren.

The location of the hotel is great. It is not directly located at the most busy area but very close to the main commercial street of kassel. The connection from the hotel to other places around kassel is also great.

The mattress does not have any support, I feel back pain after sleeping one night on it...

- Large airy room with comfortable bed- Clean- Good seating with chairs and couch- Centrally located in Kassel- Reception staff very friendly and informative- Parking area for bikes at rear of hotel- Tea / coffee making facilities in room

- Reception area was a bit drab- No lounge area- No staff on site at various times. Need to keep outside door code with you for these occasions.

Accessible to alot of shops and restaurants

Our room had a faulty kettle told front desk and was told they didn't have another and they will go up and check it.Also to try and put the light on while trying to use the kettle that sometimes gets the kettle working that didn't work either

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location excellent in the centre of town. Good range of restaurants within a few yards and under ten minutes walk to the Park and Orangerie. Integral garage was very useful, but space is limited, I have a small car and that only just fitted. Good wfii, easy to access. There is a marvellous fish tank in reception. I never had to wait there for anything, but it would make a wait a pleasure!

The hotel itself is showing its age a bit. In the first room I was given, the radiator controls were broken and heat was full blast on a warm evening. However, I was quickly relocated by helpful reception staff.

Spacious room. Anna at the front desk was very prompt to answer questions and explained everything well. Hotel is close to lots of good restaurants and cafes. Walking distance to interesting sights.

Clean, friendly receptionist, property located perfectly to explore the city center and Kassel in general.

Lowish rating because:* curtains far too short to block light in room I had (4th floor), bring a sleep mask if you require darkness to sleep* no housekeeping between first and second night* since the property does not have AC maybe try not to get a room under the roof in summer ;)
