Delaire Graff Lodges and Spa has elegantly decorated rooms and suites with modern furniture and Egyptian cotton linen. Each of the air-conditioned units has a Butler’s Kitchen, a separate seating area, and a balcony. Guests can relax in the spa and enjoy a variety of treatments, like hydro-massage baths and aromatherapy. Pros +

    • Everything is beautiful. Service is exceptional. You can sense from the way the rooms were made that there was a lot of attention to the smallest of details and needs of the guests. They were more than generous in everything which you don’t always find at hotels, even 5 stars. Everybody that works there is also very attentive to details and such a great help to make the stay easy and enjoyable.
    • Spectacular location, overlooking wine lands with service that a gorgeous space to stay in. Every aspect of the stay and any guest needs are anticipated and addressed - from a beautifully stocked kitchenette, packed breakfasts, dinner reservations and general pampering, this place is utter perfection in service
    • Extraordinary good food, location, cottage.

    Cons -

    • Nothing. Even weather was perfect.
    • Aircon was not easy to regulate. We missed glass bottles of water in the cottage.
    • attention to detail. fresh milk in fridge was not replaced as it was sour. left it out and it was put back in the fridge. just a little thing but staff should check this. otherwise very nice

    The artwork. Location. Restaurants

The privacy wasn’t there. Some of artists overexposed. Lack of attention to detail in services especially Spa. Although we confirmed halal as our option, it wasn’t carried forward.

    Villa was excellent- perfect

comp MCC was flat and very small pour vs price. inside seating at Delaire restaurant for dinner

    10SiwanPosted on: 2-2-2023

This is easily the best place we have ever stayed in. We stayed in Delaire Graff for one night on our honeymoon and it was perfect. The room was so spacious and had everything we needed and more. The free wine tasting and breakfast in our room were lovely added extras.

It was an excellent and luxurious stay.. The staff are wonderful and serve us to the best they can do.. The villa is wonderful and equipped with everything you need and heating is everywhere even in the bathroom floor.. The swimming pool has heating.. They clean the rooms twice a day.. The spa is wonderful and luxurious. We enjoyed the massage and facial treatment and they had beautiful fragrances..we went horse riding and it was a great experience...everything was more than wonderful

the lodge has only two restaurants and there are not many varieties of food on the menu and they are serving similar dishes it would be better if there was more

    excellent premises, staff and service.

Unbelievably noisy selfish party at dinner. Should have been dealt with by management much sooner. Several unhappy diners!

    10MurphyPosted on: 2-10-2022

Truly a beautiful experience. The lodgings were so peaceful, the amenities were tasteful and even included a yoga mat in case I wanted to zen out to the mountain views. Was impressed with the staff that went out of their way to be helpful.

Ubers struggled to find me. Regularly ended up on the wrong level or landing. Can happen with an extensive estate.

our standard amazing and simply woooow

the movie stopped at the middle because it’s so old dvd ?,,,,the lady who called us to leave did not give us any time to adjust our selves so my wife finish her massage therapy so simply she didn’t continue her massage and we checked out

    9PaulPosted on: 10-25-2021

We had a fantastic experience overall. Service of the staff was excellent throughout. Staying at your estate was an experience we won't forget.

There are a few things which could improve the experience for other guests. - Not all TV channels in our room were clear, some were breaking up. - The kitchen in the Indochine restaurant seems to be a bottleneck. The service in the restaurant is great but it takes too long for dishes to be prepared impacting the overall experience. We witnessed this both at dinner and at breakfast when very few people were in the restaurant. Your other restaurant down the road has this aspect down to a fine art and our lunch met all the quality standards you set for yourself.

The views were amazing. The sculptures were just fantastic. The entire property and the perfumed trees gave the place a welcoming feel.

    10GerritPosted on: 8-19-2021

Breakfast 50/50. Too many citrus fruit. Would have liked some pawpaw maybe. Rest of breakfast perfect.

    9HeloisePosted on: 2-18-2021

Location was perfect, and we loved our luxury lodge! So well stocked and all complimentary, staff were super helpful! We loved the heated pool and the views!!

Pity we could not secure a booking in the main restaurant for the Saturday eve despite being in house guests.

    10GeorgePosted on: 1-13-2021

Staff were willing to accommodate all our requests and made out checkout very pleasant.

    Some attention to detail was lacking such as:1. the hotel welcome letter / card was addressed to my partner and a friend of ours who was staying with us instead of to my partner and I. Despite raising this issue with the hotel, no one bothered to apologize or reissue the welcoming letter / cards. An apology was only given at checkout;2. My request for flowers and chocolates in our suite to celebrate my partners birthday was made in October when I did the booking. The day before checking in on 27 December I received an email saying that my request was too late and they could only arrange a small bouquet of flowers (which looked like a bouquet bought at a supermarket). The flowers were partly dead when we arrived and most had died during our stay. There were no special chocolates;3. I had requested a special birthday cake for my partner which the hotel insisted I pay for upfront and charged me R960. It turned out to be a disgusting buttercream cake with dry sponge. The buttercream was so thick that it felt like we were eating a slab of butter with each bite.4. The parking lot was almost always full and there was no valet service offered to park our vehicle (this was only offered when we were checking out, after informing the hotel of the issue);5. We suggest that guests are offered to have their vehicles washed when parked;

Roomservice - people - special thank you to Tracey! Massage was good, beautiful hotel!

Food is good but maybe a bit below the property standard

    10JosephPosted on: 12-30-2020

The property is gorgeous and rooms are really beautiful. Everything you can imagine you need is thought off. What stands out the most is the staff and attention to details. They were not only extremely friendly and helpful but they understood what we wanted and recommended the best options around Stellenbosh. Craig in particular was unbelievable and really elevated our stay. It felt like home after just 2 days! I recommend and hope to visit again.
