Bielefelder Berghotel zum Stillen Frieden

Quiet, clean, and in a beautiful setting.

No air conditioning. Room was stuffy, then we opened the window, but the birds were AWAKE at 3 AM.

Parking upfront is free of charge. Lovely room, enough heating, very cosy duvet and great pillows. Had an excellent dinner buffet at a reasonable price €24 with great service. Had a small breakfast for €10. Nice so over.

Excellent place to stay in the hills. Rooms are very good. Small restaurant and bar inside the hotel. Good environment. Best for those who travels by their own car.

Very clean and big, modern rooms. Service very friendly and personable. We were offered dinner even though we were the only guests staying for food. The offering was perfectly cooked and great value for money. Breakfast buffet was very good quality again.

Great location when you want to get away of the city. Perfect for a morning trekking, cycling and just enjoying the tranquil environment. Dinner in the hotel were in good class!

We would have appreciated a possibility to an earlier breakfast. It only starts at 8am, however, the breakfast is very good.

Beautiful location , large garden and fantastic sounds of nature. Very friendly staff. Perfect for a quiet night after long journey, and close proximity to motorway. Breakfast was fresh and tasty , decent variety to choose from.

Lack of kettle in the room. Considering restaurant was closed during our stay , simple thing like that would much improve experience.

If you are looking for a quiet place, then this is the right location (very little traffic, right in the forest) and still close enough to the city of Bielefeld. Laura (hotel staff) was an excellent host. Breakfast was great. The hotel was clean. Comfortable bed.

The hotel restaurant and bar is not always open during the week.

I was very impressed with this hotel. It is in the most beautiful location, surrounded by forests, and not too far away from the motorway. They have a great play area for children and even free roaming chickens. I booked this place as it was halfway, when travelling home from a holiday. But after staying here, I will next time allow for an extra night! The food is excellent, and the service provided by all members of staff was exemplary! This hotel is a hidden gem. I will definitely be back and for an extra night or two!

Spacious room! Easy to find, parking right outside the hotel, but can be a busy road at times. Very friendly staff. We went for a lovely walk to stretch our legs straight from the property. It had a lovely seating outside and play area for kids. The food at dinner was fantastic and the portions huge.

Sadly they were understaffed and things took a while.No English channels on TV. The biggest downfall for us was the breakfast. By the time we came down, which was about 8.30, there was barely anything left, the tables needed to be cleared from previous guests as the eating area isn't big at all, but the 1 person there was struggling to keep up. It was disappointing.

Location, forest, modern and friendly

Great location, fabulous food and very friendly and helpful people.

The only thing I can think of is the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room other than that I would have given it top marks

Nice area, very peaceful surroundings, friendly stuff- very helpful. Breakfast - good quality.

No kettle in the room we have to go to reception to ask for hot water to make bottle for our baby, they quickly provide it but it was more hustle. Breakfast very good but not much hot choice only scrambled eggs and boiled eggs that we could see.

The hotel was very located for the wedding we wanted to attend, as it was a little outside Bielefeld. The rooms are quite nice, the beds really comfortable and the location is really surrounded by nature. The food is also good, but calculate on some time as the kitchen is rather small.

The problem was, that the hotel was understaffed on the weekend, while another wedding was happening at the location. As the staff was very busy, they also reacted rude in a couple instances. We understand that it was busy, but being understaffed wasn't our fault.Finally: As the hotel is located next to a country road, it gets quite noisy in the morning when you have the window open.

situation in woods near Bielefeld excellent. We enjoyed watching the chickens roaming around the large lawn at the back and a walk in the woods. Very quiet at night and a dawn chorus from the birds at daybreak.

They were a little overstretched because a wedding was having its party all afternoon.

The room we was lovely ,clean and comfortable. Delicious breakfast. The owner of the hotel was very friendly and helpful.
