Location in heart of old city, beautiful rm, friendly & helpful staff

Little help with parking our car, which became an ordeal after getting lost in narrow one way streets, parking meters and garages with no option to pay cash & not accepting American cards. Also, rooms are beautiful but not well thought out for function.

The front desk staff was excellent! Location.

Wow! What a little jem in the heart of Utrecht! From entering the lobby I realised that Mother Goose was not just your usual hotel. Friendly, helpful staff, beautiful interior and thoughtful touches made me want to stay longer. Mother Goose will now always be my first choice when staying in Utrecht!❤️

Even an unfortunate experience with a blocked shower drain did not dampen our stay. Within minutes of reporting the problem a friendly staff member solved it.

Everything. From the outside it doesn’t look that big or great, but the room was so nice, comfy and clean. There is an elevator which is very handy, otherwise there are the very steep stairs. Arriving at mother goose was very nice, and that has everything to do with the fact that they addressed us in Dutch, very important for me. Not necessarily because we don’t speak or understand other languages but we were in the Netherlands where we speak Dutch. Breakfast could be taken in a befriended place if you want, also baskets with breakfast could be ordered tot the room.

There is no way to reach the hotel by regular car. The streets are too narrow and crowded with bicycles.Breakfast is not available. This hotel is only suitable if you plan to visit the bars in Utrecht.

The location, the staff and the cozy decoration

We stayed in one of the front placed rooms and a tad too noisy. Having said that , the staff did propose a change of room. Had to use ear plugs to sleep

Very nice room, with many little details that make the difference. Very good shower, coffee/tea facilities in the room, comfy bed.

They provide earplugs and for a reason...you can hear a lot from the other rooms, especially water running. It can be a downsize.

This hotel is a great find. Fabulous views from our room and a central position. The room was large and really clean and modern. Staff were welcoming helpful and informative about the local area. It was great value for money too.

Localisation is perfect. Fair price.

The place is nice, Staff were nice for most of them. Room is clean, looks nice.

Heater was not working which is not pleasant in cold days. Privacy in the room was not full, can be improved.

We liked the room it was quirky and had lovely touches, it looked out at the Dom tower, lovely view very central staff were very friendly, check in was quick and easy. The only thing was the lift wasn't working the day we arrived and the stairs are very steep and narrow not ideal for everyone difficult to get to your room with suitcases, but lift was working next day so it was fine.Overall we had a lovely stay, bed was so comfy and room was spotless. No breakfast facilities in hotel but plenty of options around .

The room was a bit cold and the windows could do with privacy coverings, but I did not mention them, so a quibble really.

Comfortable, beautiful rooms, with a view of the Dom tower. Coffee and tea in the room. Comfortable bed and good shower.

It was a bit tricky that they don't offer breakfast. We visited for a conference and needed an early breakfast. Their partner restaurant that did provide breakfast opened too late (and was too pricey) for us to make us of it.

Isolation between rooms is poor

This Hotel is a gem. So quirky, cool and comfortable. I stayed here during the recent Snow Storm this week and had booked a beautiful Suite (103) with a stunning view over the snow covered square! The bed was so comfortable but the room had many very cool touches that I loved and the staff were very warm and friendly. If returning to Utrecht on business again, I would actively look to book this Hotel as my first choice

Everything was wonderful, the staff were very friendly, the cleanliness and location were fantastic, and the room decoration was excellent, with thoughtful attention to detail. This will be the only place we stay when we returnAlso, breakfast was wonderful.

There was a minor problem with the room heating, but it wasn't significant considering the other positive aspects.

Hotel is right in the centre of the lovely city of Utrecht. Very nice & clean rooms.

The room decor was very welcomed and unique. The staff is very inviting and helpful.

This place was awesome. The decor is lovely and the location is perfect -- easy to get to anywhere. The staff are top-notch, too. They had an unexpected water heater malfunction the early morning before I arrived and the front desk staff were immediately prepared with alternate accommodations, about a fifteen minute walk away, at no additional cost. They seemed genuinely apologetic, which I appreciated -- even offering to transport my luggage to the new place. I was only in town for two nights, and they didn't think the repair would be finished for days at first, but fortunately it was and I was able to come back for the second night. The staff expertly managed all the details with the second property, including ensuring that I was refunded for both my first night at the goose, and my second night at the re-accommodation property. I loved the hand-written note and the general peaceful and relaxing decore. The room was spotless. The water pressure and temperature was great. I loved the real coffee/tea mugs and the little desk made a nice workstation (though I did have to move some stuff out of the way to make it usable). The amenities were nice, too, and they had no problem holding my luggage at the desk. I love that the embrace the theme with phrases like "Team Goose" and decore elements. I loved the surprise upgrade, too.

The re-accommodation process was a bummer, but I don't fault the at all for having an expected mechanical issue -- they handled it beautifully under the difficult circumstances. The shower (with frosted door) and sink are basically in the room, which is just fine for a single traveler, mostly fine for a couple unless maybe they're not on the same sleep schedule, but it could be a bit awkward otherwise. I don't know if all the rooms are like this, but if it's important to you, you might want to ask just to be sure.

Everything was nice, but slippers for the room would be a nice addition.
