- Breakfast was lovely. Choices ranged from eggs any style and at request, along with a buffet of fruits, cheeses, hard salamis, pastries, breads and yogurt.
- What's not to like? This is an oasis in a quiet location with understated elegance. Simply marvelous. We had the top tasting menu experience. Stylishly done, superb cuisine, fantastic service and a tremendous value. The wine pours were beyond any we've ever had. We are going back to France every year and will definitely stay here again.
- The staff is fantastic The village is amazing The hotel courtyard is lovelyBreakfast was delicious
Cons -
- The property is listed as 5 star but the room is in desperate need of renovation. It needs and update and strong cleaning. The tile floors are probably historic, so I can understand why they haven't been removed, but the chairs and rug were run down. The area rug was badly stained and matted - it should not even be cleaned, but replaced.
- Can't think of anything.
- The pillows were not very goodThe door of the barthroom was constantly blocking the toilet doorThere was only a bath in which you were almost falling every time you stand

The food was excellent, from a light lunch to a gourmet dinner and a pleasant breakfast.
Next door's building site cold have been somewhere else.
gorgeous compound, great rooms, beautiful graden, wonderful swimming pool, exquisite breakfast, outstanding service (with one exception though)
whilst the vast majority of the staff is impeccable, some (especially one gentlemen at the reception during the week end) lack the attention that would be expected. Also we had to wait three days for the shower heard to be fixed and had to ask three times said gentlemen to at least fix it with tape until a technician is available again. Finally over a couple of days, the swimming pool was invaded by a good number of small children who spent hours playing ball and screaming in the pool. It was extremely disturbing so that other clients left the area. It should be expected that the hotel enforces a number of rules and that the staff at least addresses the issue with the parents. I asked the same gentlemen at the reception to speak with the parents. His refused (or did not dare) to do so and his answer was "speak with the management on monday!!" I had to address the issue with the families. Not what a patron should have to do. Pity: these incidents made our stay less enjoyable.
We liked our spacious room, the fabulous dinner, great service, good breakfast and the location of the hotel which was close to the amenities in Villeneuve village.
We found the drinks to be a little expensive.
Beautiful historic property which oozes charm and character . My bedroom was very comfortable and spacious . Staff is excellent and professional. The courtyards and gardens have tall trees providing coolness and shade which was welcome during the heat of summer.
Unfortunately during my four day stay there was a family group with a number a few very noisy children around the pool area . A shame for guests like me who liked to read and couldn’t relax peacefully. Apart from that I had a lovely stay in the hotel ,
Breakfast is extra, but very good. Dinner is a big deal at this Relais & Chateaux Hotel. It is a one-star Michelin and quite elaborate. The young staff is helpful and friendly, the gardens are magnificent and the location is tucked away and quiet, but a 3-minute walk to the center of the village. To drive over the Rhone to the big center of Avignon takes 6 minutes. This is the best part of the Avignon area. It feels like real Provence yet less than a mile from all the major attractions in this major metropolitan and tourist City.
Hum? There is a trick for finding the driveway. You must go against the sign that says, do not enter or go the long way and miss the opening. But once inside the parking lot is large yet separated from the beautiful grounds of the hotel.
Lunch was amazing The room was clean and a good tempStaff were really welcoming
Shower (problem was reported)View wasn't great (appeared to be over a maintenanceyard?)
This was the most comfortable hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Dinner was delicious one night but we walked out to other restaurants too.
Beautiful setting
Noisy because of adjacent building works and huge crane that spoilt the balcony view.Staff helpful. Dining room restaurant with no change of menu
Beautiful pool great breakfast and service
Breakfast was very good ~ service attentive - understand English which is a plus Gardens and pool area well looked after
The taxi organised by reception was very expensive - it appeared to be a limousine service which is definitely not necessary - reception staff should ask the customer for the preference of transport we were not asked
Gorgeous courtyard and facilities, we had an amazing room as well on top floor
Beautiful hotel, I always love coming here
The location, the staff, the decor and ambience
fantasy setting becomes reality. this hotel is picture perfect in a laid back old town just outside Avignon. huge parking lot and great home base to explore the city and surrounding areas.
Lovely location and communal areas designed beautifully
Rooms were worn, tired and uninspired. Door opens into the room only half way because it hits a fridge placed behind it. Table and furniture is damaged and worn. The sink did not drain so when you brush your teeth your spit stays in the bowl just floating there. The room stunk and even worse in the hall way to the room smelt like old dog. When I complained they said that they knew about the problems… and that was it. They offered no remedy. On our last night we heard the firing off a staff member in the room next to us who, let’s just say, was really unhappy about being fired. The whole thing was painfully unprofessional especially the prices they were charging for a room and lunch. The price was shocking for what you get. It’s put me off not just this hotel but all from this group.Overall the rooms were a solid 3/10 and when you complain you are made to feel like an idiot for saying anything
Excellent location beautiful gardens and pool area
Room was very dark and the shower had no curtain which meant you had to sit in the bath to have a shower . Furniture and room was very old fashioned
Convenient Location
Disappointing no option for dinner inside with aircon on a day that temperatures had reached 40 degrees. Disappointing restaurant and room service menu
the location was perfect in a lovely buzzy villagenice pool - warmer than others very big bedroom and bathroom, plus private terrace staff mostly very nice and friendly really cleannice touches to the service - certainly a 5 star set up
the floor tiles in the bathroom are a bit slippy - they should be on walls only. the bath was a really awkward shape for showering in - you can’t get close to the shower and have to stand in the middle of the bath, or risk slipping over. being asked if we wanted to add a tip at the end when settling up was a bit awkward. never experienced that before and the reaction left things on a slightly sour note. shame. still, would definitely very happily return to the hotel and the village.
