    Pros +

    • Hotel zum Kuhhirten offers a pleasant stay in a quiet area with good connections to the city center. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is helpful. I did not order breakfast, so I cannot comment on that. Parking is convenient and safe. They also offered a baby crib, although this came at an additional cost. Overall, it’s a welcoming place and a good choice for a stay in Bremen.
    • This was our fourth stay at The Hotel Zum Kuhhirten in Bremen, our preferred hotel whenever we pass through Bremen during our annual Germany holiday. The rooms are bright and modern with very comfortable beds and they serve an excellent breakfast. Their staff deserve a special mention as every single one, from the very accommodating lady at reception to the very helpful gentleman serving breakfast, goes above and beyond to make their guests' stay as enjoyable as possible. The location is simply wonderful, tucked away on a little peninsula close to the old town surrounded by allotments and beautiful river landscapes. Our kids always enjoy a splash on the river beach which is safe as quite shallow, there is also a lovely little playground to keep them busy. We also like to enjoy the food and the river view at the nearby Cafe Sand, the ferry travelling across the river right by the cafe is always a highlight.
    • the room was perfect, lovely bathroom, breakfast was excellent, staff welcoming, parking secure

    Cons -

    • Relatively minor, but the décor could benefit from some updating. I also felt that the additional charges for the baby crib and parking could be an area for improvement.
    • We honestly cannot fault the hotel amenities or the staff, if I was nitpicking I'd probably recommend to look into expanding the parking lot as it can get a little tight for spaces when the hotel is busy.
    • it would be great to stay in a German hotel that had more English speaking channels on the TV (not just a news channel).

Loved the island location - took the ferry to the city, charming experience.Bedroom very comfortable - but bathroom a bit of a tight fit.Breakfast very good.

it would be great to stay in a German hotel that had more English speaking channels on the TV (not just a news channel).

clean and spacy in the room and bathroomquiet area

little complicated to get into, hidden behind the front buildingssome rooms in the basement, with small windows looking at the ground

Extremely friendly staff and Nice rooms with comfortable bed

    9PatrickPosted on: 11-2-2024

Spacious room, comfy beds and very clean. Breakfast included nice rolls, selection of cheese and sausages, cereals. Walking distance to the city center, although it is a bit of a stretch. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Included breakfast did not include lactose free milk (we did not ask for it, though)

I arrived late and could get the key from a vault myself. The hotel was really neat and the room was modern, clean and looked as if it was new. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful and the staff super friendly.

Is a small beautiful hotel and very well maintained. The location is great because it is in the middle of an island surrounded by gardens and you can take a little ferry boat to get you to the shore and the center.

Friendly staff, good beds, quiet green area on peninsula in Weser river, restaurants nearby, Haribo sweets, small ferry to city centre, had a pleasant stay with full breakfast

    8RoelPosted on: 8-16-2024

The breakfast was delicious and sufficient. We had breakkfast quite late, but the staff was so kind to prepare an extra portion of bacon and egg for us.Delicious, friendly and cheap restaurant next door in a very green area.Beach at the riverbanks nearby.

It was very quiet in the hotel. The walls between the rooms seem to be quite thin. We heard someone sneezing at night, but apart from that there was no noise at all.

The hotel is nicely finished, with a modern sound system that also can sound in the bathroom, and there is a big television. The nice staff do their best to make you feel welcome. The breakfast is good with fresh rolls. The hotel is located in a relaxing area, still within walking distance from the city center. The hotel has a locked car park for your car (8 euros per day).

There is no airconditioning. That itself is not an issue, but then waking up later is hardly possible because of the sounds from outside through the windows that need to stay open. All the 3 of us scratched ourselves on metal corners of the main bed (no lasting injury). The hotel is not location very close to public transport.

The breakfast was good, the room was comfortable and clean, it was an ideal location because it wasn't too busy in that area. The parking was also cheap (only 8 euro/day) but what i love the most is that it's possible to check in online and arrive very late (2 AM in my case) since you get a code to get your key.

I don't know what it was but there was a subtle smell in our bedroom. An unfresh smell like a stale scent of an unventilated or dusty room except it wasn't dusty. Maybe they just need to ventilate the room before the guests check in. I couldn't sleep well because of that odor. Aside from that, the rest is perfect.

Nice comfortable room - very clean. Good hotel for city trippers or 1 night.

Simple ok breakfast with only 1 option in fruit.

    9GundaPosted on: 7-15-2024

Great location, beautiful surroundings suitable for leisure activities and checking out the city centre. Very convenient with car charging facilities in the parking area.
