Maritim Hotel Bremen

The location.

The swimming pool was out of order, this was very disappointing. The carpets in the corridors and rooms are overused. The lavatory/sink drain must be cleared. The water doesn't flow. The matresses were too soft and bad for out backs.

Air conditiong non exiistent. The controls were on the wall but they decide what temperature you will be comfortable at! Without the window we would have cooked. It was too hot and stuffy.

Central location, amazing breakfast, kind staff, maritime flair all around the property, spacious and well equipped room

Great location to old town, Burgerpark, train station.

Everything was really luxurious and the bed was great.

We were on the 5th floor, and the windows could be opened fully. This made us nervous leaving our curious 3-year old unsupervised for even a second, which was unfortunately some added stress to our otherwise great stay. We were advised by reception that you can open the windows at the top but the problem wasn’t that we wanted the windows opened, it was that we could not lock them and our 3 year old would have been able to open them, if we hadn’t stopped them. A simple lock chain placed high on the window could have solved this problem.

Location close to city centre, lots of parking available at the back. Quiet and clean room, comfy bed. A business hotel during the holidays, so lots of available rooms at a fair price.

Pool was a bit chilly, the place looks slightly dated.

Cleanliness and friendliness of staff was at the top

In my room there was no coffee/tea machine and no international television channel where I could keep being updated about the world news. This are probably minor flaws for many customers

No evening restaurant and only two close by and one didn’t take credit cards.

Fitness Studio is extremely small. In fact, only 3 pieces of equipment are down there. Mini bar in the room was empty.

The Double bed was against the wall (on the side) . Inconvenient for two people.

This is probably my 10th or 12th time staying at the Maritim in Bremen. I travel to Bremen once a year to perform and usually stay here for some of my stay. This year, I had three separate stays, and I was in three different rooms throughout September. While I am a fan of breakfast, I am typically just a toast and tea in the morning person, and so the price for breakfast is steep for me. I'm a traveling musician, and it adds up quickly. Having free parking was a huge plus. In the past, that has been a significant factor in my decision to stay for fewer days; this time, it was nice not to have to worry about that added expense. As always, the bar food is delicious. I look forward to getting the schnitzel when I am there. And I love the showers. I get very excited about staying here for the showers alone. My wife is tired of me talking about how much we need to get the pressurized overhead shower like at the Maritim.

Like I said in the previous post, I am a fan of breakfast, but as I don't eat much in the morning, it is a steep price for me to pay to make a pot of tea. I tried making tea in my room, but it is only a coffee maker, and I couldn't figure out how to boil water. Also, in one of my rooms, the refrigerator did not work so the milk I bought for my tea went bad in one day. My only other complaint was when I was in the room... I think it was 221. The odd numbers are on the inside of the building, and in this room, I couldn't get the AC to work, so I opened up my window, and all the cigarette and marijuana smoke from the loading dock came up and into my room.As I don't smoke either of these things, it was very unpleasant. When I told the staff, they were quick to change me to another room but it was quite unpleasant. It's also the first time I've ever asked to change a room anywhere.

They give only give one bottle of water for 2 guests,no coffee or tea packets available in the room . No hot cattle available in the room ,we have to call the reception and you get one ...

Didnt like the paid parking

Nice pool, almost all of the staff were pleasant and friendly, the Bügerpark nearby is stunning, and allows for amazing short and long walks.

Tried to imply city tax was still outstanding - which on push back was acknowledged as false. Poor outlook from room. Requested a room away from the lifts, but in first iteration was given one right next to the lifts. Was rectified easily after reporting back.

Very comfortable bed and pillows, good food amd nice location near big and beautiful park.
