About
Boasting a strategic position, the hotel is well connected around the Florentine area, where some of the most important industrial and handcraft companies in the leather or fashion industry are located. The hotel is located in Scandicci, a small town near Florence and close to the exits off highway A1 and the Firenze-Pisa-Livorno expressway, 2 of the main routes to Florence. Hotel Marzia has been restored, redesigned and extended in 2007 to provide a greater standard of comfort, which includes a spacious and useful entrance right from the garden on the parking lot side.

Pros +
- Hotel Marzia was a great find. The hotel was in a good area. There was A great restaurant nearby. The facility was clean and very comfortable and quiet. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay again.
- The room was very cute and clean. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was really nice and stylish, I loved the shower which was huge! the receptionist told us we could have everything that was in the minibar for free, I appreciated it a lot and I found it to be a really kind thought. There was also a quite big TV, but we didn't have the chance to try that one.
- Easy to find and large car park. Comfortable room and quiet. A good selection of gluten free products for breakfast, served by friendly staff.
Cons -
- Self check in after 8pm, not ideal, prefer to have personal contact.
- Old furniture
- The smell. My room number 102 smelled very badly: probably a chemical product used for cleaning/disinfect. I had to keep my window open each evening for at least one hour not to get poisoned. I told the managers but nothing was done. They proposed to change the room, but it would not have solved the problem of the smell…because the cleaning ladies used it regularly.

Super position to get to Florence and the hotel is in excellent condition and must be reasonably new? To get into Florence you need # 26 bus to Resistenza and then #11 tram to Santa Maria Novella. 1€ 70 cents A taxi would probably cost about 18/20.00 €. Both of these services are pretty frequent. Caveat emptor...try to avoid busy times of the day, unless you don't mind being a sardine!!! Don't expect children sitting down to offer you their seat. They won't.They don't respect age or sex! Continental breakfast is excellent and plentiful. This is replenished frequently Great to be away from the noise and hustle bustle of Florence and thousands of tourists. I've been in May, June, October and November and it's always busy.Room facilities fine...unless you need a safe. There isn't one. It didn't bother me however. The room was cleaned very thoroughly every day and fresh towels provided.Excellent air-conditioning if you want it. I've been to Florence 5 times and 3 of those times I stayed in central hotels. Frankly, I would stay in this hotel again next time .
These weren't major problems and it states this in the description. The English of the staff is minimal, as is my Italian. I managed to get by for 12 days.If you find stairs very difficult, try and get a ground floor room. There isn't a lift, so if stairs are difficult don't forget that. I do find stairs difficult, but this was only a problem carrying my suitcase upstairs on arrival and back down on departure. It states in the description that there isn't a lift. There's a ground floor and first floor only. There's a flight of stairs, a dog leg, 2 stairs another dog leg and a shorter flight of stairs.
The property is well maintained with a nice garden and nice spaces for smokers and nonsmokers. You have everything you would need close to the Hotel Marzia like bus stops, grocery stores and restaurants. You also have parking spots if you’re driving a car. With cheap tickets that you can purchase in a nearby store, you can go to the historical center of Florence, spend the whole day walking as a tourist, come back at night and have a good sleep in a very clean and cozy room. If you wake up at the right time, you’ll be offered a nice breakfast with good coffee options and good enough food!
Nothing. Loved everything!
The hotel has a private parking. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good. The hotel is located ca 2 km from parking Villa Constanza, where you can take tram T1 to the centre (trainstation) of Florence in 10-15 minutes. There is a trattoria (Antiche Torri) across the street, but it's better to make a reservation, because it is a busy place, even during the week.
It was an excellent modern small hotel with good facilities. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They were able to give good advice about accessing Florance from their outskirts location.
The location relative to Florance, but that's not their fault.
Staff made fantastic coffee in the morning and were very friendly! The room was nice, there was free parking and restaurants nearby.
Bus stop across the street. Nice hotel if you need to visit Florenve by tram or the airport.
Mosquito's
The room was good, clean comfortable with a nice clean and spacious bathroom. The staff were very friendly. We also took breakfast, which was very delicious. Other facilities such as the internet connection, were satisfactory. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Florence.
The location is in Scandicci which is a little far from the main Florence city (although it is close to the Villa Costanza bus stop). There was a bus stop just next to the hotel. However, it was a little far from the tram line which is required to travel to the main city. Also, no electric kettle and cup in the room. Otherwise things were good.
Very friendly welcome, good car park at rear of hotel, spotlessly clean, very good aircon in room, great breakfast
nice place, green grass and nature arround
far from the city center, not very good connections for transportation. Also uncomfortable beds, not very helpful staff, mosquitos in the room. Check-in is impossible after 8 p.m. which is non-sense for the hotel accommodation.
Good location, rooms. Had a balcony room which was really nice to enjoy.
Wish the rooms were more soundproof.
location, breakfast and parking is fine
Internet is bad
Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Very good breakfast.
It was very clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly. It was a great value.
The hours of reception could have been better.
The room was very comfortable, cleaned daily and the staff was very sweet and friendly. The location is very nice for someone who doesn't want to be close to traffic but still would like to visit the city center: It's nearby some nice restaurants with reasonable prices as well good gelato place on foot, tobaco shop (which you need to buy transport tickets as well), tram and bus stations towards the city center, also near supermarkets and nice bakeries.Check-in and Check-out was very easy and quick.
The mattress was a bit un comfortable, but it was okay. Honestly I'm sure if I told the staff they would've changed it because they're very responsive. There're no late check-in hours unfortunately and it's not flexible.
The property was conveniently located within walking distance of transportation to Florence. It was super clean and updated.
On a side street which made it difficult to locate, but did have a big private parking lot for rental.
