Cons -
- The traffic is very close, and with a room facing the road it is noisy. Beautiful terrace facing a small idyllic lake suffers from the same traffic noise.
- There was not enough surface space in the room so we only partially unpacked. There was no kettle in the room to make tea or coffee and only 1 bottle of water was provided upon arrival so if you have not planned for this and are not staying in the apartment units then you will be thirsty until you next visit a shop! The cafe is only open for breakfast and not at any other time which meant we kept having to order takeaway to be delivered - the hotel did not provide a list of reliable numbers so we had to hunt for these ourselves. I would advise guests to come with snacks. There is a food vending machine but it is very expensive. They have a room no. 13 (which I was offered but kindly declined) I was then given room 7 (perhaps that is ironic humour but after such a long journey I was just not in the mood for it) In spite of all this, the hotel is lovely, in a wonderful setting but I would only stay in the apartment next time with my own kitchen and a place to stock food. The hotel could have at least provided fresh bottled water each day and if the cafe is closed then a directory with numbers for taxis, food delivery places etc but these are the little gestures of hospitality that I think I may have taken for granted in my travelling years. I do not want this to be seen as a negative review as we were very comfortable here and with these small things considered in the future it would make an excellent stay.
- we needed an extra pillow, but the reception closes at 20:00, so we had no one to ask it from at 21:00. another thing is that they had no restaurant there to have dinner. maybe this is only the case in winter. but we did find a nice restaurant near by.

The breakfast was good. Nice selection of hot and cold and very good coffee. It was self service which we didn’t mind as everything was stocked nicely and accessible.

this small hotel is located in a beautiful spot on the lake. we came in winter, but i would hope we could come again in summer - to swim and enjoy the surroundings better. the reem was very spacious and comfortable. the breakfast was great. our dog enjoyed a beautiful walk near by. we loved this place and warmly recommend it.

Great breakfast, great view and good rooms
Lovely surroundings, quite and clean
Nice hotel near Ploen
Our second room was close to the road. it was quite noisy.
Clean; great breakfast.
Odd to have dining room but no tea or coffee service or refrigerator.
Location along B76. I was traveling through to East. Property is located on a Lake with benches to rest and dream and think.
No Place to eat in walking distance.
Though the room is compact, but it's quiet and facing the garden with good view. Window is not big, but could see a bit the lack. Have a big and nice garden, good for a short walk, and also can seat nearby the lack enjoy the nice weather.Very good locations, nearby both the "5-see-Fahrt" as well as the "Grosse Ploen See Fahrt" (opposite of the road)
It was clean and comfortable and modern.
The property was good. I liked the property.
Location is great, also rooms feel modern and new.
The room cleaning service was not as we expected. Room floor was not getting cleaned or vacuumed so after few days of stay it was quite a mess and we had to clean it partially ourselves to be able to walk around on barefoot.
The hotel was indeed by a lake which is nice. There are gardens to walk around close by but the lake is surrounded by private houses. Easy to park. In an area of lovely country and walks around the largest lakes are nearby.
The hotel is situated by the main road into Plon and as such is extremely noisy with traffic all of the time. The rooms don’t have air conditioning so if its hot you have to keep your windows open and the traffic noise is unbearable. We had booked not understanding this and when we got there the room was at the front of the hotel by the road. Luckily for us (and i mean luckily or we would have had to move hotels at great expense and inconvenience) the receptionist moved us to a ground floor disabled room at the side of the hotel which was slightly larger ( be warned the front rooms barely hold a double bed) and faced the car park at the side. This was acceptable. Be warned though that the car park also has its comings and goings most of the day. The hotel does not have any evening eating facilities and closes reception at night so it feels a little bleak. Breakfast is a perfunctory affair. Walking into Plon will take you 25 minutes and local restaurants minimum 20 mins walk close very early for evening meals. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel for an extended break again but if you were travelling through and needed a quick pit stop for the night it might work.
The lake behind the Lake House was already magic. Great rooms, great beds and extremely friendly staff. It was really close to go for a beautiful long hike next to the water.
The room was too hot but keeping a window open during sleep was no option as the traffic was so loud. It was actually difficult to sleep, despite great beds and a great room, due to the sound of traffic. Might be better with a room facing the back and not the front?
Friendly and helpful persinnel, location, cleanlyness, comfy beds, good room and bathroom.
No elevator; next to a road which is busier than we expected so there was some noise in the evening. Restaurant closed, a pity! Nearest next one is quite a walk.
An absolutely stunning location. A short 30-45min walk outside of the city/village. Beautiful setting!
One can only imagine how much money was invested in the property, but the potential of it is not being used. Hiding behind staffing problems, no care is being taken of the gardens, terraces and children’s playground as examples. The restaurant is closed. Breakfast is self-service with the charm of a third class canteen. Offers are just ok - certainly not anything good and price worthy. Rooms are nicely decorated though no fridge, no aircondition and zero chance to get a drink after 5pm (when the reception closes). Some issues with floor ledges, doors etc that would require instant housekeeping attention but little interest was shown when mentioning those. The vending machine in the corridor offers a few sweets. No beer or anything you might long for after a long day on your feet. The complete - very nice - property is managed to press the maximum revenue out with the least imaginable investment. Probably a great place before Coronavirus but now managed in a way to barely survive. Very sad show! It will probably close down soon if things don’t change dramatically. But I sincerely hope things will improve as it is a great place!
Disappointing
The hotel has no lift at all! Very difficult for persons with bad knees! They didi not serve dinner in the hotel.
Overpriced, terribly uncomfortable and unpractical.
Severely overpriced for what you get. I don't think I have ever slept so uncomfortable. The pillows are worn-out fluff in a pillow case. There's no walking trails on the property, you have to drive out for this. The cafe doors are heavy and impractical to open when you are doing a buffet and have no hands (every.single.time) . Theres no escalator, or if there was, its not visible. So you have to carry kids and heavy bags on flights and flights of stairs. There's no curtains, only blinds, so the room doesn't get dark. In summer this is completely unpractical and does not support a good rest.
friendly stuff, good breakfast, quite property, bottle with water in bedroom for free, free WiFi access, bedroom and shower / toilette very clean.
no complains, nothing to do better for this price.
