This is a very good place for visiting Dusseldorf, not far away and with very value for money price. You can do your business in Dusseldorf during the day and come back in the evening. The Old Town is very interesting and nice. There is free parking on site.

Old property in bad condition

The property is old and not in a good condition. The corridors stink (old carpets) and so did my room. The room was small with old and jaded furniture. The heating system did not work, and outside was some system being loud also over night.

The breakfast is very good, with many options. At night, there is an open buffet, with vegan option and two meat options, beyond the options from the restaurant.

Nice spacious rooms, excellent breakfast, good WiFi, good private parking (€3 p/day). Petfriendly (€10 per dog per day).

We liked the location. Close to Dusseldorf, 30 minutes by car, but in a quiet environment. We also liked the breakfast: there was a nice variety of cold cuts, cheeses, jams, eggs, and bread. The bedroom was big and clean. The bed was comfortable.

The pillows are very thin and offer no support. There was no variation of coffee unfortunately.There is no coffeemaker in the room.

I had a room with two single beds, I obviously only used one but it was comfortable. The room was clean, overall simple but sufficient and spacious. The mini fridge in the room was handy. The breakfast was alright, not much to write home about, but decent enough. Free WiFi for up to 2 devices and the speed was good. All in all, I think the property is more of a 3* than 4* hotel. That said, the location is well connected to the motorway, there are also busses going into the town centre. A supermarket as well as some food places are in close walking distance.

My room faced the car park, which was always full and always loud. If you want to sleep with your window open (as there is no AC and the room is very stuffy), you'll either need earplugs or you need to be a very good sleeper! Also, the smoking area is in the car park, so the room does smell of cigarettes if you leave the window open. Most TV channels don't work properly, which didn't bother me too much personally, but would've been nice to have access to.

The staff are excellent and always very helpful. It is walking distance to the old town for meals. Secure parking is very important.
